NYE LOOK
Happy Christmas Everyone! I hope you are winding down and starting to breathe and enjoy the holiday! I have to wrap a few more gifts, and get one more thing, but then I am through! I really want to enjoy this time and not be so crazy busy (haha!). I wanted to show you all this beautiful and sassy metallic pleated skirt that I think is the perfect New Year’s Eve look. Unless you are attending a black tie affair, this skirt is the perfect thing to wear to a party or dinner out. The best part, it is only $79! It looks gold, but it has a silver color in the pleat, so it looks really great with black, charcoal, or cream. I would even pair it with a blue chambray shirt to really dress it down. I wore this top from BCBG to make it a little less dressy, but will totally wear this to dinner on NYE.
I would also wear the skirt with this top or it would look good paired with this jacket (this camisole too). Change out the boot with a pump or strappy sandal to make it a little dressier. I have never been a big NYE fan. We usually get together with friends for dinner, but I do remember past NYE nights spent at home with just our family (that has been my favorite way to celebrate). This year we are going to be in Naples, Florida with our oldest and his family and my daughter in law’s family. It will be low key, but we will still be going out to dinner, and this skirt will be going out with me!
I am meeting my nephew for lunch today, who is away at school, and I can’t wait to spend some time with him. Tonight we are meeting up with my son, daughter in law and kids, her family, and my younger son for a horse drawn carriage ride to look at Christmas lights. Dallas is the most magical place to be during the holidays! The lights in the city are amazing, especially in the Highland Park area. There are carriage rides that go through these incredibly lit neighborhoods. I have wanted to do this for the last couple of years…finally tonight! I think everyone should visit Dallas during December, there is nothing like it!!!
I hope you all have the most wonderful Christmas and enjoy every minute. Thank God that a little baby was born to save this world! Merry Christmas!!!

Dallas is indeed beautiful at Christmas! My mother lived in one of the high-rises on Turtle Creek, and I loved visiting her there, especially at Christmas. Hope you have a blessed and happy Christmas. xoxox, Brenda
