THROW ON A CAPE

Ann Taylor Cape- Ann Taylor Fringe Cape- Ann Taylor Two Tone Cape

It’s Friday…YAY! I don’t know why this week seems to have dragged on, but I’m glad it’s the weekend! Today, I am throwing on a cape for a little warmth instead of a coat. The Texas weather has been so weird of late, and I never know if it’s going to be 75 or 45! Sometimes I just don’t want to fool with a coat, so a cape is an easy way to stay warm, but also look chic.

This is a cape from Ann Taylor that I bought in 2015 (unfortunately not available). I still like the neutral colors and can throw it on with just about anything. I paired it with this cute flannel plaid shirt that has some rhinestones on it. The cape has a buckle in the front that helps keep it in place, but I really like it open. You can achieve the same look with a big oversized scarf. This look is great when the temperature is not cold enough for a big coat, but you need something. I love a cape or big scarf with fringe! I also think the cape takes a shirt and jeans and makes it look like an outfit.

A cape or an oversized scarf can look so chic over an all black or white outfit. One bit of advise while wearing a cape or big scarf…it’s much easier to carry a purse with handles than to try and keep one on your shoulder. It’s maddening!

I sound like a big loser, but all I want to do this weekend is sleep and clean out my bathroom cabinets. I have accumulated so many products, that I can’t find what I’m looking for most of the time (remember I live in a condo and the bathroom is small and so is my storage!). Exciting, right?! I just haven’t had time to do it and it’s finally time!

Hope you all have a great weekend doing what you want to do! Thank you for reading! xx
