BLAZER AND JEANS
BLAZER AND JEANS
Happy Friday! I hope you all have had a great week! Not much has gone on this week. Sometimes, I feel like a loser when I start to write because I realize how boring my life is. What did I do this week? Hmmm… I cleaned out some drawers, gave my den a good dusting, put out my Halloween decorations, shot some looks for the blog, and that’s it. So exciting! Honestly, I did have two highlights this week. One was keeping my granddaughter for about four hours. I had so much fun, and we had great conversations about ponies and Chanel bags (she is two months old)! I tell her that she can have my bags when she is older (it’s honestly why I buy them, to pass them down).
The other highlight was meeting a reader at J. Crew! I was making a purchase, and a woman standing at the next register asked me if I had a blog. She was in town from Memphis and told me that has been following me. We had a lovely conversation, and I hope to see her again when she comes back to town. Cindy, you made my week! I’ve said it before that I’ve met the best people from having this blog! If you have ever wanted to start one, I highly recommend it for that very reason!
Now, let’s talk about my favorite things to wear in the fall, a great blazer and jeans. It’s always my go-to! I showed these barrel-leg jeans a few weeks ago (in this post). I’m trying to get my money’s worth, so I am wearing them as much as possible; plus, I really like them! Are you all experimenting with different jeans styles? I just bought a very flare pair! I also have this pair that are my other go-to’s in grey.
Blazers and jeans are the perfect pieces to look put together without trying too much. I bought this blazer a few weeks back at Madewell. There aren’t too many left, but I am linking my top ten affordable blazers below to give you a similar look. You don’t have to spend a lot to achieve a chic look!
I haven’t seen my other grandchildren since the beginning of June. It’s the longest we’ve gone without seeing them. I am so excited because we are going to visit tomorrow. My older granddaughter is turning seven this next week. I decided a long time ago that I would never miss one of my grandchildren’s birthdays (if I could help it)! I am so excited to see them! She called me and requested that I make her birthday cake (my heart melted!)! I will be making my famous (in my family) cheesecake for her. I’m sure we will have a lot of funny stories after being with them.
I hope you all have a great weekend! Stay well and be safe! xx
