CASHMERE WRAP

Good Morning everyone! How was your weekend? I am still paying for mine this morning! It’s not that I whooped it up drinking, it was the really late night at an engagement party that got me, and I need my sleep! We got home at 2:30. I can’t remember the last time I stayed out that late! Today, I am loving this beautiful cashmere wrap from a store called Purple Poppy located in Cape Cod. It is the perfect weight for this time of year, when a sweater or jacket is a little too warm. Actually, it’s the perfect wrap for me all year long. This is great to fold up in your carry on bag for flights, for air conditioned cars (my husband loves to blast it!), chilly movie theaters, freezing restaurants, and any place you can think of that you just need a little topper! What really got me was that you can wear this piece about eight different ways (a card came with it showing the different ways), and that the price was $136. I was in the mountains this summer looking at the same wrap that was over $250. It also comes in 63 colors…no kidding!!! I am wearing it in camel.

Now, if the $136 is a little too steep for a wrap, Purple Poppy has the same wrap made of acrylic, nylon and wool for $45, and comes in 17 colors. Another couple of pieces that I love from Purple Poppy are these two rain coats. I love this one (check out the pockets on this coat!) and this one is on sale and would be a great travel take along. I bought the great tie-front button-down I am wearing from Anthropologie. I wish it came in more colors. It’s super soft, and a great update from a traditional button down. I think it would work great for a curvier figure too! The choker I have on, I just can’t get enough of. I just showed it HERE last week. It’s from Baublebar, and I love the pearls mixed with it. It just adds a little “umph” to the outfit. Baublebar is having a site wide sale right now and everything is 25% off.

About that engagement party. We drove to Tyler, Texas and attended the most beautiful party, for a great couple that we have known for a long time. The flowers were amazing (all white, my favorite!), and I can’t even begin to describe how many were everywhere! Our whole family was invited. I was thinking about these crazy people that are my family. I am so blessed that as crazy as we are, we have so much fun together. Out of the six of us, I have to say that we are all really outgoing, and get some liquor mixed in, several turn into the life of the party. It was so much fun to watch!
