HOT TREND FOR SPRING – STRIPES

Happy Friday! I am so glad this rainy week has come to an end. This has been one of the dreariest weeks I can remember! I cannot wait to see the sunshine on Sunday! Do you have big plans for the weekend? I am heading back to Austin to hang out with my daughter and visit a friend. It should be a low key weekend. Today is my youngest son’s birthday, and we will be celebrating that on Monday night with the whole family. I wanted to show you some of my favorite pieces for Spring. Stripes are a hot trend, and I have never met one I didn’t like! I went back and searched “stripes” on my blog, and I have written about them many times!

I think stripes are great year round, but they look most fresh for Spring for some reason. I love to mix a stripe with a floral or animal print for an unexpected pop, and I like a horizontal stripe combined with a vertical one! This dress is the ultimate stripe piece, and I wish I had a place to wear it. It’s classic but with a graphic twist! I don’t think you can ever go wrong with a stripe.

I’d say over half of the pieces below are under $100 and the rest between $300. I want every single one of them. I think I will get a striped swimsuit (this one covers the chest area) this year; I have seen so many cute ones! If you do choose a striped suit, make sure the base of the color is darker than the contrasting color, it’s more slimming to the eye. Long horizontal stripes can also be more figure-friendly. Add a little stripe to your wardrobe, it’s simple but has a major punch!
