HOW TO LOOK FASHIONABLE WITHOUT BREAKING THE BANK
HOW TO LOOK FASHIONABLE WITHOUT BREAKING THE BANK
Good morning, friends! I hope you all had a restful weekend because…here we go, the start of a crazy and busy month. We had a relatively low-key weekend, but I did do something fun. I took my grandkids to the Galleria Mall to the most adorable pop-up (holiday experience) called, Snowday. The grandchildren I took are eight and ten, and they loved it, but I had more fun than they did, so much so that I am going back with the sixteen-month-old this week. Tickets are going fast, so get them if you can and try to get the combo to see Santa (which, of course, is a little more expensive). Speaking of expensive, everything seems to be right now! I am so excited to share this post on how to look fashionable without breaking the bank.
I’m sure most of us are feeling the effects of all the rising prices just in time for the holiday season (uggghhh). If you are like me and love fashion (you must be because you are here) and still want to look current and put together, I will blow your mind when I show you what I have found at amazing prices at Walmart.
Now, I know Walmart might not be your first thought for fashion. When I’ve thought about Walmart, I used to think about groceries and electronics, but let me tell you, that is changing. Everything I am wearing is from Walmart. I took a chance and ordered the faux fur vest (sorry, it is now sold out, but I linked more below), and no joke, it looks incredible. I walked into a designer boutique with this outfit on, and they had a faux fur vest that looked almost identical for a gazillion times more. Even the girls that worked in the boutique were impressed! I have on a ribbed lightweight sweater dress that is so easy to throw on and dress up or down. I wanted to wear the dress with boots and these are so stylish and comfortable. The same girls in the designer boutique loved them too! They are by Sam & Libby and work with dresses, skirts, and skinny pants. The last piece of my outfit is the bag. The bag is by C Wonder (Tory Burch’s ex) and is fab! One of my friends glanced at it and asked me if I got a new Chanel bag (no lie!).
I’m not saying you have to buy an entire look from Walmart, but if you mix in some of the pieces with a more expensive brand, no one will be the wiser, and you will have saved money (at least, that’s what my brain comes up with). I found some very stylish things (below) that I hope will pique your interest. You will recognize some of the brand names for sure. Not that this is the most stylish, but I ordered this heated jacket last year. What a brilliant concept, and what a great gift this would make!
I wanted to call out a few more brands I discovered at Walmart that I had no idea were there. Maybe you all did, but I am late to the game. Did you all know that Home Edit has a collection of organizing items? I want to order everything! My Texas House has such pretty things for the home. I love this bedspread set that reminds me of one that I wanted a few years ago from a very high-end store. And you can find everything Dyson at Walmart!
I am off to start my cooking and baking. We are all assigned what to make, and this year I am making a sweet potato casserole (drunken with lots of liqueurs), broccoli souffle, and a pecan pie. Are you all cooking? I hope this is a beautiful Thanksgiving Day for each of you! We have so much to be thankful for!
I am genuinely thankful for all of you who read this blog. Have a great day!
Be well and Stay safe! xx
