JC PENNEY FALL PIECES
Good Morning, Everyone! I hope you are having a great weekend. Also, I am in route to New York for a few days of fashion week. I love going to New York, especially during fashion week. It will be a hectic few days but so much fun! Speaking of fashion, the Chic at Every Age girls and I are so excited to be partnering up with JC Penney today to show you some of the latest and greatest fall pieces that are available in store right now! I don’t know about you, but I am ready for sweaters, boots, and pumpkin everything! Let me show you some of the cutest fall pieces from JC Penney!
JC Penney Fall Fashion 2019:
Coat // Striped Blouse // Floral Blouse // Snakeprint Bootie
I love a great coat and am especially fond of this deep peacock blue mid-weight car coat. This coat is the perfect weight for the South year-round and could be worn in the Eastern states for early fall. I love the hem length, but can we talk about the color?!! It is gorgeous and will go with every color in the rainbow. I love it with grey and gold. It does run on the big side so I would size down.
Next, is this beautiful silky striped blouse with a bow tie. This blouse reads a bit dressier but looks great with jeans too. It comes in five other colorways, and you might want it in several of them! The other blouse I am showing is this “boho” style blouse in the soft floral. I love it mixed with my jeans and sneakers. This is the perfect run around weekend blouse.
Do you all die over these booties? I think they are my favorites from the new fall collection at JCP! Not only are they fabulous, but they are also comfortable as well (memory foam inside and under $100). They are true to size, and I will be sporting them a lot this fall! If snake print isn’t your thing, they also come in solid taupe and black!
JC Penny:
What is great about shopping at JC Penney is that you can pick up pieces (inexpensively) to mix with what you already have. How cute is this leopard skirt that you could mix with a black turtleneck you already own? Or, this cardigan to throw over jeans on a chilly day. I have been going through my sweaters that look so worn out and am going to add this and this one to my collection to start fresh for fall.
Not only can you find something for everyone in the family, but did you know that Sephora is in stores and online at JC Penney? How fantastic is that?
What are you all up to today? I’ll be enjoying the cooler temperatures in NYC after sitting through a football game last night in 100 degree weather! I hope you all have the best day!

Thank you to JC Penney for sponsoring this post!

Looks like a young designer trying to dress a middle age women. Huge fail!! Ugly and as a middle aged women I would NEVER wear any of those combos!!

I’ve shopped JCP for 37 years and as a middle aged curvy woman, it would have been nice to show fall styling for my shape. Those pants look messy and boots were cute but not with that top.
However, I’ll still shop there and throw my own ensembles from Evan Picone black label brand for fall jackets and pair with jeans and tops.

Same crap every season!! Fire the buyers already.. no one can save them JCP it’s a shame!! I’m 48 and I wouldn’t wear any of these ugly tops…EVER!!
The only reason people are still shopping at JCP is because everything is always on sale plus you can use coupons, so you get it for nothing basically

Has none of JCP’s brilliant exec’s figured out yet that they need new brands and new buyers. You haven’t offered any appropriate or desirable apparel for women over 40 and with this latest junk, you still won’t have any. Pay attention! You have the largest clearance section I’ve ever seen! Nobody wants that junk and your buyers keep buying the same junk year after year. Pay attention!

I’m sorry. An individual piece may be attractive, but the overall looks seem tacky to me. I’ll still shop your brands I like, but these pictures confirm my impression that JCP fashion is an oxymoron. I would wear something in the same spirit only casually to urban counterculture locations or for suburban shopping or rural sites. Most women can’t work or attend social events in that attire.

No, I don’t think so. Not crazy about the combination (nice, each and of itself) and definitely not the shoes. I congratulate woman over 40 who can wear those jeans, but there’s way too many of us that can’t. No worries. I love JC Penney and always will.

Please stop assuming all petite women are over 80 yrs old. I’m 4.9 and 52 yrs old. No I do not wear Alfred Dunner and doubt very seriously if I ever will. I have to shop in the kids dept to look trendy. People please! I was a teenager in the 80’s. I want to look like a beautiful woman not a grandmother.

I agree with the majority of the emails. We need to see something new and exciting. Participant in a Focus Group from different ages to get their opinion.
I Love shopping at JC Penney. Good luck….

I LOVE JCP! As a mature lady we need classy and chich not fuddy or childish. The prices are great and for the most part the products have great quality. Create a page where we can pick different pieces and view what the look would be. I fill out a questionnaire about my style on the higher priced sites, get a style idea then go to JCP and put the look together myself. Take a look at Dia and other companies copy and make us happier!

I have been looking for a semi casual dress for a outside wedding. I need a 10p. I’ve been in several times looking in the hopes I’m of finding something when the fall things came in. The majority of the new things are some of the ugliest dresses I’ve ever seen anywhere, and the only ones I liked were the wrong color. JCPENNEY wake up. I’m 68 yrs old, not dead!!!

So much hate. If we all dressed the same then you would complain about that. Every woman needs to find a style they like and rock it. I’m in my 50’s and dress on a wide range of styles. From biker to downtown Manhattan, and get mistaken for my daughter’s sibling on a regular basis. Girls let haters hate and just do you girls!

JCP use to have classy clothes for women, but not anymore. You have geard everthing to young people and they dont shop JCP that is why you are in trouble. Middle age women were the shoppers.

I’m 71 and very conscious of what looks good on me. I shop at Talbots alot. They have classic stylish clothes for every size and age. I also love Lauren blouses but there haven’t been as many print styles lately. So Macy’s doesn’t get my business that much anymore. I haven’t shopped Penney”s in a long time since I never seem to find anything when I go. Would shop there if I found cute clothes. I buy alot of clothes from QVC. They don’t charge extra for plus sizes. I get stopped all the time by women and MEN who complement me about my clothes and style. You need to get new buyers and designers. I hate to see you go out of business because we always shopped at Penney’s when I was growing up.

You are a beautiful and gorgeous girl with awesome outfits. I love your way of clothing and style. I can not wait to have these outfits for me. I love these lines that you said great “What is great about shopping at JC Penney is that you can pick up pieces (inexpensively) to mix with what you already have. Hi, Ginny! Thank you so much for this sweet comment! I am shocked at how negative and hateful these comments are about JCP and quite frankly me. I wear my heart on my sleeve and this has been a bad few days for me because of this. I am working with JCP because a lot of my readers ask for affordable pieces and they also support breast cancer awareness in a big way, which is so important to me. Anyway, you were a bright light to my day yesterday and I just wanted to let you know! I appreciate you and your heart so very much! xx

Hi Cathy!
I am relatively new to your blog and was shocked at all the negative comments! Please don’t let them get you down. I love fashion but am not heavy on the funds and I appreciate you posting affordable pieces. I love the car coat! (and your high tops are ROCKIN). Keep doing you and shout OUT to Ginny for her great comment!

Who needs every style blogger to look the same? We’re always advocating that women should have confidence in themselves; wearing what makes you feel good is half the battle – what’s going on with tearing people down?
You look great Cathy, perfect colors for your hair. That’s a great outfit for you – makes you look good and feel good which is exactly what style is all about.

After seeing your post, I actually clicked on the links to check them out; me, who hasn’t shopped at JC Penney in 10 years or more. I get to the site and thought that you styled the pieces MUCH better than they did. If I had gone straight to their website and saw the same clothes, I would have moved on quickly. But seeing you in them makes me think twice about a purchase. You definitely have a future as a JCP stylist!! 🙂

I am not sure why people even bothered to write those comments! If they don’t have anything nice to say they should not say anything! JCpenney has really impressed me lately with their clothes and I have bought several trendy for affordable prices there this year. I love everything about your outfits!

I love the looks your have featured here. I am a stylish 49 year old and I’d wear either look (except for the white jeans, I’d style with a different bottom for me, I don’t like white jeans for me, but they look great on you). I’m also from Canada and I’m shocked at all of the JC Penny comments here, and also that people say on the one hand, the looks are too old, and then on the other hand, the looks are too young. Let’s celebrate each other instead of tearing each other down, wear what makes you happy, enjoy fashion, there’s enough serious issues in the world to worry about, let’s have fun with clothes, any age, any shape, any size.

You are beautiful and your styling is stylish, unique, and wearable.
I have not routinely shopped at JC Penney for decades, but several years ago a friend was wearing gorgeous lemon yellow slacks with white dots whichlooked very expensive, chic, and classy. She whispered, “don’t tell anyone they’re from JC Penney.” I marched right over there and bought them. I do not understand the reluctance about trying different sources. Of course many of us at certain ages want a certain level of quality, because only the very young can still look good in less expensive clothing, but as a very well dressed, well traveled friend who had a gorgeous home filled with European and Indonesian antiques as well as local art and a few Target pieces, and her wardrobe the same told me, “Honey, fashion is where you find it!”
Your penchant for mixing these pieces with favorites, or pairing more luxurious fabrics and brands with a lesser makes for a more interesting look; it takes a great eye and talent, which you have. I will be adding your blog to my reading.
As to negativity and excessive criticism, a Carolina Herrera wardrobe could sadly not overcome that look.
