LEATHER DRESS WEATHER
LEATHER DRESS WEATHER
Hi, ladies! I am late posting this week. I have had a somber week. One of my best friends ever in the world passed away unexpectedly on Saturday. We have known each other since I was twenty-four years old. We went through our entire first pregnancies together and had our babies four days apart. She is the godmother to my daughter, and I am her first daughter’s godmother. Her birthday was two days ago, and we had texted last week about my coming to visit her to celebrate. I am leaving today for New Orleans to go and celebrate her life. This is a HUGE reminder to make sure that you tell people who mean a lot to you that you love them. Also, don’t wait to make phone calls. When you think of someone, call them! Life is SO FRAGILE!
It’s now leather dress weather, and there are so many great ones available in the real deal and in faux leather. Faux leather has come a long way, and it looks better and better. I will be honest with you; however, as soon as I find a piece of faux leather in the store or order it, it has to pass the sniff test. I don’t know if you have ever noticed, but some faux leathers smell fishy, and that is the only way I can describe it. Has anyone else noticed that? Anyway, I ordered this adorable leather dress, and it did not smell like fish! I think it is so pretty and feminine and a great dress for many occasions. With holiday parties and get-togethers coming up, this is a great dress to have on hand. I’m wearing the Xs for reference, and I am 5’6″. I have rounded up my favorite leather dresses below.
I just got these fabulous slingback heels, and I have already worn them several times and have had many compliments. I love how classic they are, and the heel is the perfect height. They remind me of this more expensive pair! I have also carried this furry purse more than a handful of times since getting it. I love a good leopard, anything!
I will be meeting another good friend at the airport in New Orleans this afternoon, and we will be staying together for the weekend. My daughter is flying to New Orleans tomorrow, so I will get to see her, as well. As sad as this time is, our friend who passed would want us to laugh and have fun with each other while we tell stories about her. We have decided that is exactly what we are going to do.
I hope you all have a great weekend. I know I don’t say it enough, but thank you all for taking the time to look at my blog and support what I do. I so appreciate it!
Be well and Stay safe! xx

So sorry for your loss.
I wore the short-sleeve version of that Shoshana dress for my daughters bat mitzvah last year and it was perfect. One of my favorite dresses.
