Good Morning! Hope you all are having a great week. I am finally feeling like a person again. Whatever I had was a bad bug! Why does it seem like being sick in the summer is so much worse than any other time? I have laid low this week, except I did get out and get an eyelash “lift”. It’s like getting a perm for your lashes, and it seriously works. I went to High Brow’s Eye Couture in Dallas and am now hooked! Anyway, I bought this cute band jacket for fall at Nordstrom last week. I keep going back to the store and looking to make sure I haven’t missed anything from the Anniversary Sale. I missed this jacket, the first couple of times, but am so glad I spotted it last week. There are only four days left until prices go back up and I am just making sure I won’t be hitting myself over the head next week.
Doesn’t the jacket remind you of Sargeant Pepper? I love anything in velvet and have always loved this band style jacket. The embellished cord and shiny buttons on it are so beautiful that you need to keep everything else pretty minimal. I wanted to pair something besides my “normal” denim with the jacket. I don’t like my gray jeans from last year and wanted to replace them. I found these Paige jeans that were on sale and tried the jacket with the gray. I thought it looked really good and different. When I went on line to link the outfit, it was paired the same way. The jacket needs a simple tank or tee underneath. I do love the way the gray jeans fit and like the raw hem at the bottom. I can see this jacket with a pleated midi skirt or over blue or black denim.
The boot of the season is going to be this “sock” style boot I am wearing. Why didn’t someone come up with this idea before? Even skinny jeans fit right over them. They look adorable with longer flowy skirts too. The pair I am wearing is very inexpensive, but I like them so much, that I might get this pair too! I thought the “ring” bag was so fun and looked a lot more expensive than it is. It isn’t part of the sale, but it is priced like it is. Also, the suede jacket that I have on in this post was sold out, but it has been re-stocked. The color is so pretty, and it will go with everything!
I cannot believe the weather in Dallas right now. Usually, by August it is 100 plus degrees every day. It has not made it much passed ninety, and for the next ten days, there are going to be some days in the high eighties. It may be because of rain, but it is pretty amazing and very awesome (except what it is doing to my hair!). I always feel so sorry for the football teams that have to practice when it’s hot as “you know what”!!! I hope it stays this way and I hope it’s bearable wherever you are!
Have a fantastic day! xx
Thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post!
