Hi ladies! How is everyone this Monday morning? Well, I can tell you that I am exhausted! The grandkids came in on Friday evening, and we have had so much family time this weekend with that family of four and my other son and his wife. My daughter was supposed to come in from London, but she decided not to travel in fear that she might not be able to get back there. We are all really sad that she will not be here for Thanksgiving. Thank God for FaceTime!
We played very hard this weekend (each night, including last night)! Did anyone watch the show Brothers and Sisters with Sally Field about fifteen years ago? The family lived in Los Angeles (I think), and every time they got together, they were opening a bottle of wine. Well, that is exactly how we are. We love nothing more than gathering in the kitchen, talking, laughing, cooking (some of us watching the cooking :)), and drinking wine. It’s so fun having everyone at home together!
GIFTS IDEAS FOR THE HOMEBODY
Speaking of home, 2020 has been the year of being at home, and therefore, one of my first gift ideas for this year is GIFTS FOR THE HOMEBODY. I have spent more time in my home this year than ever before (like all of us) and have even shot most of my blog photographs here. Home is my favorite place on earth. I would have thought that I would have organized or cleaned out more because I have been home so much this year, but I haven’t’. I have been a slug more or less and have just enjoyed being home.
Are you all feeling the same way in that you really enjoy being in your home? This year, almost everyone has become a homebody, and these are some gift ideas that could be bought for just about anyone.
I wanted to let you know about this soft and fuzzy cardigan I found last week at Banana Republic because I do like fashion. It’s such a cozy sweater in feel and weight and might make a great gift for someone (maybe you)! It’s 50% off right now plus an extra 10% off with Code: EXTRA10. WooHoo! Don’t’ you love a deal?
I’m not sure what’s on tap for today, but I’m sure it will involve getting ice cream or something fattening with the kids. Trying to think of some fun, crafty things they can do to help decorate for Thanksgiving. If I’m brave enough, I may make a run to Michael’s and see if there is anything left. Yikes!
I hope you all have a wonderful Monday! xx
