Hi! I’m so sorry that I have been a little MIA. We were in Ojai Valley, California (to visit our daughter and littles) for five days, then came home just in time to head to the SMU game last Saturday (huge win!). I had Monday to catch up a little before my husband had shoulder surgery on Tuesday. He’s doing great, but let me tell you, he’s the cook between us, and that’s been a bit of a bummer (haha)! Did you all stay up all night on Tuesday watching election results? I did, and I’m still trying to catch up from that. I’m so happy I don’t have to see another political commercial for four years! We are back on grandchildren duty starting yesterday after school until Sunday, and I’m a little on my own since my husband can’t do much (wouldn’t you know that they don’t have school today!). My daughter and one of her littles will arrive on Sunday through Thursday. This is why I can’t get anything done sometimes, but it is so worth it!
With all that said above, I haven’t made it to shoot with my photographer, so I wanted to show a few outfit looks I posted on Instagram. The first highlights this gorgeous leather oversized moto jacket from the Heather Dubrow x Susan Bender collaboration. You might recognize Heather from the Real Housewives of Orange County, and Susan is a New York fashion designer. They struck up a friendship and collaborated on this beautiful collection of wearable pieces.

The second look (with So Heather) features a fabulous faux fur vest. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but the faux fur pieces look super natural this year. I was at Zara a few weeks back, and their faux fur looked like the real deal! This vest is from Evereve, and we both grabbed it fast. I paired mine with a cashmere Fisherman sweater (the best affordable cashmere!) and black leather jeans.

The last look, which I wore with my best friend, Janet, to an event we hosted together at Frame a couple of weeks ago, shows what I am obsessed with—both jeans and blouses!
Can you all believe that Thanksgiving and Christmas are almost here? There are homes in my neighborhood that are already decorated for Christmas! I wanted to give you all some ideas for the BEST Hostess gifts.
