BRIDGING THE GAP WITH THE LOCUS OF STYLE
Hi Everyone! Today is a pretty exciting day with the launch of a campaign called, “Bridging the Gap,” where 100 Millennial and 100 Midlife Influencer are coming together to blur the boundaries as we believe we are stronger together. We are trying to put an end to the labels and divisions that no longer serve us, as age is merely a number. It’s your attitude and the way you look at life that truly matters. We are coming together to send a message that we choose to be seen for who we are rather than be defined by age. So in doing so, I want to introduce you to one of my favorite Millenials. Meet Emily Lundstroth of The Locus of Style.
Emily and I have known each other for almost two years now, but it feels like so much longer (in a good way!). We met while we were both living in Nashville. I was trying to find other bloggers to connect with after moving there, and she kept showing up on my Instagram feed as a blogger in town. Although I was looking for someone more my age, she would have to do, and I stalked her until she would meet me for lunch. Come to find out; she was a fellow Texan from Houston. We had a lunch a few times and hit it off, and the rest is history! We have become more than blogger friends. We are now great friends! Emily and I talk on the regular and I probably talk to her more than my three children combined!
What is so amazing about our friendship that started through blogging, is that our age doesn’t matter to each other. Emily is simply another great female friend, and I feel so blessed to have her in my life (and that she doesn’t care that I am her mom’s age!). We talk about blogging, dating (just her!), my kids, families, fashion, and so much more. We both ended up leaving Nashville and moving back to Texas, and Emily has even come to Dallas and stayed with us. She is one of the funniest people that I know! My husband follows her on Instagram and cracks up at her stories. We just love her so much!
Bridging the Gap is interesting. I look at it this way; we need each other. Millenials need our age group for wisdom and knowledge, and we need them to see the world in a new and different way. I love having younger friends because it gives me so much energy being around them. Life would be so dull to me if I didn’t have a few younger people in it to liven it up and stretch me to think in different ways. Now go check Emily’s blog out!
I hope you have a great day and thank you for reading the post!

This is such an inspirational and timely campaign! Thank you Cathy and Emily for making it easier to bridge the gap for women to enjoy being in each other’s presence, no matter the age or life experiences. Only good things can come out of this project. Please let your readers know if we can get involved to spread the word.
