LIKEtoKNOW. IT STORIES FROM THE INFLUENCER NEXT DOOR
Hi, everyone! I hope you are having a great weekend! Ours has been non-stop with the little grandchildren. Today, I have a quick post to share with you! I am beyond honored and so humbled to be featured in theĀ “LIKEtoKNOW.IT Stories from the Influencer Next Door” book. You may be familiar with LiketoKnow. It, but if you aren’t, it is the brainchild of RewardStyle that is the affiliate company that I and about a million other influencers work with. LiketoKnow. It is an easy way for you to shop via Instagram. Once you register, and like a photo, LiketoKnow. It sends an email to you with the links to everything in the photo. This coffee table book features 100 global influencersĀ and each one hasĀ a question and answer interview. There are so many inspiring influencers (many that I follow and love) who tell their stories of how and why they started their blogs. Many have left long-time careers to pursue a passion for inspiring others. RewardStyle has been an amazing company to work with, and I am forever grateful to them for helping me in my blogging/influencer journey.
Many of the influencers are in the fashion realm, but there are so many home, mommy, travel, beauty, and fitness bloggers as well. I have had so much fun reading and getting to know my favorite influencers through this book. There are so many cool stories on how these women and men started their entrepreneurial journies. “LIKEtoKNOW.it Stories From The Influencer Next Door” is the perfect holiday gift for anyone who loves inspirationĀ or is interested in the lives of global influencers. This book is now available on Amazon.
I hope you all have a great Sunday and a huge thank you again to RewardStyle! I am beyond grateful!

I don’t see liketoknowit that way at all. It has turned influencers into sales people who work on commission. So many I followed on Instagram took up liketoknowit and became less themselves, wearing and promoting things that were never their style before. Plus it’s not necessary. Clothing items aren’t that hard to find. Just tag the brand and we’re fine, we don’t need an affiliate link that pays an influencer for each click. I view it as the ultimate sell out and the antithesis of creativity, individuality and personal style. It’s putting a hand out for money and that’s the point at which you no longer have influence.

Hi Nonie! Thank you for your comment. I understand some of how you feel, for sure and respect your opinion. I’m not sure what you do for a living (and if you volunteer you are awesome), but I’m sure you don’t work for free. Everything that goes into creating a blog, ie…researching content, shopping, getting the photographs, and then writing the piece takes a lot of time and energy (especially for an old girl like me!). I typically spend 60+ hours a week creating my blog posts. Sometimes there might be a few items that I might not personally purchase, but I try to think of my readers and what they might want. I know a lot of people don’t understand the hours and creativity it takes to produce one post. Even my best friends think I can whip a post up in 15 minutes. I posted this post to say how honored I am to be a part of this book and appreciate RewardStyle and LiketoKnow. It for creating a platform where bloggers can monetize their hard work. Plus, it’s helped me connect with women all over the world. I hope this might give you a little better insight into what goes into the process. Thank you for reading the post and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Hi, Rita! Awww, you are such a sweetie! Thank you! I was so excited for the Redbook piece and for this book. All I hope for is to inspire women to be the best that they can be (especially over 50) and shine a light on breast cancer awareness. Thank you for this comment…it made my day!!!! xx
