CLASSICS
I don’t know about you, but the older I have gotten, the more I like having classic pieces in my wardrobe. I must be a very slow learner!!! I used to be a trend buyer, and as soon as that trend was over, that trend was out of my closet. As many of you know, we are living in Dallas right now in a condo and I have minimal clothes and shoes in my closet. For day to day dressing, it has been so easy to grab and go with not much thought. Fashion events and blog posts are another story!!! What I am trying to get across, is that with a few classic pieces, you can look pulled together in no time.
I think a blazer is a must. Throw it over a pair of jeans and it makes an outfit! I also think a ballet flat is an essential shoe. I finally splurged on the Chanel flat I am wearing, (not the most comfortable for me, but I am still trying to break them in) they are such a classic shoe. Another flat I love and will be my next pair, is this one by Chloe. Everyone I know who owns them say they are like wearing a pair of house shoes. And of course, a classic bag is essential. I will admit I have a problem…I love handbags! I don’t change out my bags that much and will carry one for a long time, but I justify the cost that way! The cross body I am carrying is lightweight, big enough for the essentials, and is great for everyday. I know it’s pricey, but if you do carry it most of the time, it’s worth it.
HAVE A GREAT MONDAY!

Classy and fabulous, Cathy! I love a classic basic wardrobe and then add some trendy or edgy pieces. Those shouldn’t be expensive as they come and go as you said.

Cathy, another great flat is AGL…Attilio Giusti Leombrunio. I am not a flats fan for me, but, these hit the spot. Comfy and totally classic. Nordstroms.
