DENIM DRESSES
Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend! We spent the weekend in Austin visiting two of our children that live there. We had a great time, and got to know Austin a little bit better. I love the “weirdness”of it! There is a freedom to be who you want to be in Austin, and I think that is refreshing! We ate at two really great restaurants. Friday night was spent at a “fancier” spot called Jeffrey’s. The atmosphere was beautiful and the food was outstanding. Saturday night we ate at a place called Justine’s. The best atmosphere and coolest looking people! I felt like I was in California. The french fries were out of this world too! We got to know the South Congress (SoCo) area a little better too! If you are not familiar with Austin, South Congress is a street with shops, restaurants and boutique hotels. Not to mention, street acts (break dancers), a guy who is known as the “compliment guy“(yelling compliments to people), and a man spray painted in silver.
While in Austin, I was inspired again, by denim. Maybe because it’s always been a “Texas” thing. I love the way denim on denim (the old Texas tuxedo) looks. I have seen every piece of clothing made in denim lately. What I am really liking, now that we are in the throws of summer, beside a denim skirt, is a denim dress. How easy to throw on for running around or when traveling. Denim dresses can be worn now with a sandal or wedge, but come fall, a bootie or boot will look great with them. I have picked out some of my favorite ones to share with you. Hope you like them!
Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!
