Happy December!!! I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and weekend. Ours was so much fun with a lot of family time. There is much to be thankful for! I cannot believe it’s already Christmas time…I am so far behind. I did get the Christmas card photo and card accomplished yesterday, so that is a BIG check! Now, if I can get the shopping done in the next week or so, I will be happy.
This is another big week for me. First, I would love to give a shout out to the plastic surgeon who repaired my lip last week. It looks awesome! I start my radiation on Wednesday. I will go everyday until sometime in January. I was marked and scanned last week, and given the option to have stickers or tattoos placed where they will be radiating. I chose the stickers but they already itch, so I guess I will be tattooed on Wednesday now. Thursday afternoon, I am having day surgery to have my port removed, or as I like to call it, “getting deported”. I cannot tell you how happy I will be to have the “alien baby” gone from my life!!!
So, now it is time for my repairing to begin. I have met with a nutritionist on an anti-cancer diet, and my oncologist says that exercising is so important for me, as well as laying low on the vino ( It’s my only vice, but now am advised not to have more than three glasses per week…thank you cancer!) I have never been a big exerciser (understatement) except for yoga, but now need to get my fanny out walking as much as possible. Today is the day for me to start moving!
