Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you have had a great week! This sinus infection and bronchitis have kicked me in the fanny! I am still not feeling great, and my brain is not working, so it’s a short and sweet post today, all about this colorful striped skirt with the prettiest colors to brighten your day! When I saw it, I immediately loved it, and it just makes me happy! The skirt has all of my favorite colors in it. I paired it with this Topshop sweater (have it in blue too, here) but I think this black cashmere tee, this white mock neck top, or this silk shirt will look so cute as well, each giving it a different feel. Did you all notice that skirts were sort of absent for a while? I think they are making a comeback and I am all over it!

I recently purchased the heels I am wearing, and I have worn them so many times already. I love them with jeans as much as with skirts and dresses. The bag I am carrying was bought about eight years ago on The Real Real. I have always loved the Dior saddlebag style bags, and when I saw it, I put it right into my cart and bought it. It was a steal back then. The saddlebag came back in a big way last year, and you can still find some great deals on them.

Y’all, I had to throw in this photo of this precious man that was passing by while we were shooting these photos a few weeks ago (obviously, it was a cold morning!) and me. He walked by and said something cute about us shooting and I asked him to get in the frame. When my photographer sent the photos to me, I couldn’t quit looking at this photo and thinking about how I wish I knew this guy’s story. There is something so calming and wise about his face to me. Do you all see it? He looks like someone you could spill your guts to without any judgment, and he would tell you that you were okay! Sometimes people (or animals always) grab my heartstrings, and this is one of those times for some strange reason! Maybe our paths will cross again, and I can find out!

I am going to lay pretty low today. I have to run by an event this morning then I am going to be home the rest of the day cleaning out my guest rooms closets and drawers. My oldest son and wife sold their house and are moving in with us in a few weeks for a few months (kids and dog and another story for another post)! YIKES!!! When we moved into this house, I didn’t do a very good job of getting rid of things. I moved my Nashville house and Dallas condo right in without culling through and discarding. I don’t want to tackle it, but it has to be done.
