Good Morning! Hope you all had a great weekend! It was a major low key one for me. My husband was in Nashville, so I caught up on sleep and did some organizing. I swear that New York trip last week took a toll on me, and it’s taken me a week to catch up! Speaking of New York, I roomed with this babe in the photos with me, and we did an impromptu NYFW street shoot with a photographer she knew. First off, meet Sheree Freede, of the blog She She Show. I have known her for a couple of years through phone calls and emails, then we got to meet last year for a nano second at a party in New York.  Sheree is from Houston, and this past April, we both attended  a conference together, and got to know each other a little bit there. I was so excited to room with her on this trip and really get to know her! Ya’ll, she is fabulous and you will die when I tell you her age. She is 61! I know…shocking! She looks 45!

The only way I know to describe her, is that she is FULL of LIFE (and loves color)! She has so many great stories to tell, and that smile and zest for life you see is REAL! She is the kind of girl that is always up for an adventure! The woman is a pilot, has been on so many great trips, and has a love story that will melt your heart. I was so fortunate to get to spend so much time with her, and can now call her a dear friend. She’s one of those people that you feel like you’ve known forever!

Sheree had gotten a plus one ticket to the Alice and Olivia presentation, and asked me to go. How sweet was that?! We were on our way to the show, when we met up with a photographer named Denton Taylor, who Sheree has gotten to know through Instagram. He said he would meet us and take a few photos. Can I tell you all that I wish he could live with me!!! He is such a gifted photographer! He said that he would send the photos to us, but I  am fairly sure that he didn’t edit these. He is just that good and knows the light! He is so fun to follow on Instagram for inspiration.

I wore this adorable leopard top, by Alice and Olivia (it’s a little cropped, I know, but had to wear to the presentation!) under a precious embroidered bomber jacket by a company called Dezzal (could spend hours on their website). This jacket is almost sold out, but if you look on this page, there are many more to choose from, most all under $100. I am also loving the pearl and velvet choker I am wearing from Baublebar. I have worn this thing to death, and think it goes with everything I own! I was also sporting my new “dream” shoe, that I pulled the trigger on after a month of looking at them. They are Gucci, and worth every penny in my mind. I wore those things all day long for two days in NYC, without breaking them in, and my feet felt fine! I usually wear an 8, but got the 7 1/2.
