HOW TO LOOK FASHIONABLE IF YOU HAVE BLADDER PROBLEMS
Alright, ladies, today we are talking about how to look fashionable if you have bladder problems. Let me first say; I do not have this problem (yet!). I have a million other problems, but luckily this is not on the list at the moment. I went back and forth on whether to write this post, but after a visit to my doc for a sinus infection and questioning her about this issue, I decided it was important to discuss. Millions of women are affected by incontinence. I know it must seem embarrassing if you have the problem, but believe me, you are not alone, and you don’t have to be middle age to be affected by it.Â
There are two types of ongoing incontinence. One is stress related incontinence. It’s more common among women (well, of course, it is!) and occurs when stress (or pressure) is placed on the bladder. Do you ever dribble a little when you laugh, sneeze, cough, or do jumping jacks? My daughter used to pee her pants everytime she belly laughed or jumped on a trampoline when she was a teenager! Medications, infections, or even constipation can put stress on the bladder too. The other type of incontinence is “urge” incontinence. That is pretty self-explanatory. You get an immediate urge, and can’t make it to the bathroom in time. What causes this ongoing incontinence? Weak muscles, urinary tract infections, childbirth, hormone fluctuations, weight gain, or nerve damage.Â
So, what do you do when you want to look fabulous but have a small tinkle problem? You buy TENA Intimates products. I always thought that if you were incontinent, you had to wear an “adult diaper.” I was wrong. TENA Intimates, have pads that work like the “period” pads you might have worn in the past or are still wearing, therefore allowing you to wear your cute new jeans! These pads have ProSkin Technology, that wicks away moisture keeping you dry and odor free. TENA has many products to choose from depending on your needs, making it possible to be discreet. Check out their products here and use my PROMO Code TMP5 for $5 off any TENA Intimates purchase through 12/31/2017!
Do the pads work? Since I said I don’t have this issue, I decided to test it myself to see how much these pads hold. I tried their Light Ultra Thin Pads, by actually sitting on the toilet and peeing on it. Oh my gosh!!! The pad holds a lot of pee! I was amazed at how much! Would these pads work if you have a little “pee” problem when you exercise? Absolutely, and they are very discreet. We all have some sort of issue because no one is perfect and aging is a bitch. These pads allow you to look your most stylish and no one will know!Â
Let’s talk about the outfit I am wearing. I love fall colors because they work with my coloring so well. I love this Alice and Olivia top. It’s a “burnout” silk in the most beautiful colors. The pants are sold out, but how gorgeous would they look with these velvet beauties or these jeans? This top can be mixed with so many beautiful jewel colors. You would never know if I was wearing a TENA pad…maybe I am! I’m so excited for fall clothes!Â
I hope you all have a great day and I hope this post helps someone struggling with bladder incontinence. It’s okay, I promise! We all deal with something! xx
Thank you, TENA, for sponsoring this post!Â

Your entire outfit is off the rails. Love it. Also, if you are on any hormone related anti cancer drugs, like Tamoxifen, It makes the bladder issues worse. Just saying …

I just found your blog. I LOVE it! You give me so many ideas. I am wondering how you do your hair? Are you blow drying and then curling with a curling iron? If yes, does your curling iron have a clamp on it? I love the look of your hairstyle. Any info. you can pass along would be great.

If you have bladder problems, get yourself an electronic pelvic floor stimulator and use it often and for ever, and your problem will go away after a while of using it. It takes a while to build up the muscle strength but keep using it and the problem will be solved.
On amazon.co.uk search for Sensatone Digital Compact Pelvic Floor Stimulator (I have this one myself and it definitely works), or TensCare Elise Pelvic Floor Exerciser or Kegel8® Ultra 20 Electronic Pelvic Floor Exerciser.
