FALL PLAID WITH NORDSTROM

Happy Hump Day! How is everyone? I haven’t mentioned my weekend with the grandchildren. It was hectic for sure, and those two little bitties are “hell on wheels”! I had every drawer in my house opened, and every object touched. We had one accident on Saturday morning and thank God it didn’t end up with a visit to the doctor’s office! Our granddaughter missed the first step in the pool and landed on her face. She scraped up her nose and screamed a lot, but a sugar cookie with sprinkles made her forget all about it until her mom got home on Monday night! We survived!!!

Today, I am thrilled to be partnering with Nordstrom for a Fall look, and that look is plaid. Nothing says Fall to me like plaid, and it has since I was a teenager. Nordstrom has all of my favorite Fall looks right now! I loved this plaid Theory jacket in these muted neutral colors (love this one as well). I love red, blue, and green plaids, but thought this one would be easy to wear with my black velvet jeans and my regular denim. How cute would it be with a pair of white jeans and a black turtleneck?  I paired it with a pale blue and black striped shirt (even though the jacket doesn’t have blue in it) for a mixed print look for the first photos. The last four photos I changed into a gray metallic tee to give it another look. I am showing a few of my favorite plaids below.

I love anything velvet, and the jeans I am wearing are no exception! They will take me through the Fall and Winter and can be dressed up or down. I want everything in velvet at the moment, but that might be a little overkill! I bought the Gucci loafers last Spring, and they were an investment, but an investment that I can wear all year. I wish I had bought them in green (gone gone gone), but the blue suede maybe my next purchase. They are very comfortable too.

The weather in Dallas was so great a week ago, and now it feels hotter than it was this summer. It’s a bummer because Fall is officially here tomorrow and I am ready to wear Fall clothes. It’s my favorite season of the year. Plaids, velvets, suedes, leathers, booties, and pumpkin spice lattes! Hope you all have a great day!
