HOW TO WEAR LOFT LEGGINGS WITH CHIC AT EVERY AGE
Good Morning Everyone! Hope you all are having a good week so far! I am so excited about today’s Chic at Every Age post! We have partnered up with Loft to show you how to wear Loft leggings. Now if you are new to the blog, Chic at Every Age is a post that I do with my pals above twice a month. We have a twenty, thirty, forty, and fifty-something (yours truly) showing you how we would wear or style a particular piece our way. So today the leggings are the piece, and a little secret…mine are on sale!
Leggings have become a staple in many women’s wardrobes. I remember reading a long time ago that Vera Wang’s everyday “uniform” consisted of leggings and a tee or oversized shirt. Leggings are comfortable and can easily be dressed up or down. We were so excited when Loft asked us to feature their leggings. I love that Loft offers leggings in denim, in faux leather, a sailor style, cargo style, and with a zippered ankle to name a few. A faux leather legging can act as a pant at night, while a cargo style can be an everyday option. I am a fan of a black legging, but there are different colors to choose from in some of the styles.
So how did we all choose to wear our leggings?
The Fashion Hour– (our pregnant one) is wearing her windowpane leggings with a long tee and long sweater vest. How cute do pregnant women look these days? I don’t think she has worn maternity clothes her whole pregnancy. I remember the days of wearing Laura Ashley muumuu’s! Anyone else remembers those sack dresses?
Style of Sam– our 30 something, has on a cute longer off the shoulder sweater (that covers her fanny), charcoal leggings and boots. Personally, I think when you wear leggings as a pant they need to cover your back end and the front too! Her look would be perfect for a casual date night.
So Heather– 4o something, is wearing the faux leather leggings that look like the real deal. She has dressed hers up with a silk tank and beautiful jacket. Heather’s look is definitely a night out look!
I thought for my age group, a dress over black leggings would be fun. I loved the black and white polka dot dress with the bell sleeve. This is a very covered up look, showing that anyone can pull off a legging (wearing a 00 petite legging and a xs petite in the dress). I like the look of a dress like this over leggings as well.  I like wearing a wedge and showing my ankle, but I would wear this exact thing with a high bootie or knee boot. I hope you will try a pair of these leggings! I could live in them!
I hope you all got some ideas on how to wear leggings; they are a great addition to any wardrobe. Have a great day! xx
Thank you, Loft for sponsoring this post!

Wow, great blog. Being 78 + and having celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary recently – I was not too sure about leggings. AND then I made a purchase of a pair of black ones the other day. Still not sure AND then your email arrived. Many, many thanks for the suggestions. I have paired up the leggings with a Fall print shirtwaister and booties. I love the look. Thank you again for all your suggestions.

Just curious – how tall are you? I was surprised when you mentioned you ordered petite on this outfit. I have in my head that you are taller – and that some of your outfits are suited better for taller gals. Thanks!

Hi, Jeannie! I am 5’6” and wish I had about 3 more inches on me! I have a small frame, which is why I need petites in some brands. I do, however, think that some brands cut their pieces bigger. Hope that helps! Thank you for reading the post! xx

I love to wear leggings since I’m all about being comfortable. This outfit is so cute! I love how you styled it with the belted dress. Being on the smaller side, it is so hard to find a tunic for leggings that doesn’t look too big for me!
