Well, January 2026 is off to an explosive start (if you live in the line of the snow/icestorm). I’m not sure where you live, but I have major cabin fever in Dallas. I have not left the house since Friday night. The ice on the street is still very thick, but I’m hoping it will melt enough today to get out of the house. I am VERY grateful that we did not lose power (like a few years back during “Snowmageddon”). I feel bad for my friends in Nashville who have been without power, and for you if you have been, too.
Today, I wanted to share this adorable faux-fur top (it’s really a vest) for cold days. Worn over a long-sleeve turtleneck or under a coat, this top keeps you warm and cozy. I paired it with a lightweight turtleneck (have it in black too), and these new jeans (wearing a size 24 for reference) that I am in love with (love this colorway too!). I feel like my legs look super long in them! If I could live in one look during the cold months, it’s this one!
Can you believe Valentine’s Day is just over two weeks away? I haven’t even begun purchasing anything for my people yet, but I know what I’m getting my oldest granddaughter today! She is a huge lover of Jellycats. The heart is sold out on their website, but I found some here and here. If you have littles that love them, I would jump at these before they disappear. Anyway, I have rounded up almost 80 items that I think are great gift ideas for Valentine’s Day. If you are a VD (not the bad kind!) gifter, I hope these ideas help.

The sun is out, and I am watching the ice melt off the roof of the house. I’m dying to get out and hope to venture out later today. I have a question for you all, and would love it if you comment or email me. Do you all still read blogs, or are you getting your inspiration from Instagram or Pinterest? I’ve been doing this for almost 13 years now, and would really love to know if you all think it’s still relevant. I have a love/hate relationship with Instagram and probably (well, definitely) don’t play the game as I should. I’m just at a crossroads and am wondering what you all think. I would appreciate the feedback!

I’m old school. I get hundreds of emails a day and, so it’s easier for me to look at your posts via email. Actually stop and read them! I look at Pinterest and IG, but not as much and usually not to discover fashion.
