Happy Friday, Everyone! Well, I thought I would be in New York this morning, but I had to cancel my trip. I will explain after I talk about the reason for this photo shoot. I hope you remember one of my best friends, Deanna, from Well and Worthy Life. She lives in Birmingham and came to visit a few weeks back. We have been friends for a long time and are trying to do better about seeing each other. We both love Ted Baker so much, so we decided to pick an item and show how we would wear it. We loved the beautiful grey blooms print and agreed to go with corresponding shirts.
Ted Baker does the most gorgeous floral prints that are so feminine and I have become a big fan in the last couple of years (remember this top?). I have bought tees, sweaters, and dresses that I have loved. The dresses are perfect for weddings and are so reasonably priced for what they are. When I am in doubt of what to wear to a wedding, I always know that I can find a dress from Ted Baker.
I have on this stunning cotton and silk blend sweater that will take me into Spring with, and of course, white denim. I also love this solid bow sweater, that happens to be on sale! I had to have a jacket the day we shot this because of the frigid temps and wind! I have had my boots for about four years now and am so glad I have saved them because look what Who What Wear says is the boot for Spring! Deanna looks so cute in her tee which is a version of my sweater (I would order a size up in the tee). If you like a feminine look, Ted Baker is the way to go!
So, what happened to my New York trip? I was going to meet my daughter in New York. She was traveling a day early on Wednesday. At 7:15 Wednesday morning my phone rang and I answered to her hysterically crying. She had been in a bad accident. A drugged up women driving a pick-up truck slammed into the back of her Mini Cooper (at 40 mph) at a stop light. Thankfully, my daughter is okay, really sore, but okay and alive!!! The policeman couldn’t believe she was not hurt! When the paramedics got to the woman who hit her, she was asleep in her car! My daughter has had a rough start to the year, and I have been praying for God to put a hedge of protection around her. I am so grateful that my prayers were answered. She came home for a few days and we have talked a lot about that! Sometimes it takes a jolt to realize that life is so precious! Hug your family tight!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! xx
