HAPPY 150-YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO BLOOMINGDALE’S

Well, hello, ladies! I may look together in these photos, but it is crazy at my house, and I need a vacation! I had a carpet cleaner, a wallpaper hanger, and a family of three (plus a nanny) all here simultaneously yesterday. The carpet cleaner had been scheduled for a long time, and the wallpaper hanger showed up (unscheduled, with insufficient paper). I’ve been helping my daughter with the baby, who has been sick (along with everyone else in the world!) over the weekend, and now I am a little under the weather. I’m supposed to leave tomorrow for LA with my friend Heather for a three-night getaway, and fingers crossed I can go. I have a Z-pack and flu pill ready to take. Tis the season, I guess! Speaking of the season, did you know that Bloomingdale’s is celebrating their 150-year Anniversary? Can you believe they’ve been around that long?

Bloomingdale’s is one of my favorite stores and one of the first stops I visit when I travel to New York. I love that you can find all the best brands under one roof and a variety of price points. From high-end designers to my favorite in-house brand, Aqua, I never leave empty-handed when I visit. And because I haven’t been to New York in a while, thank goodness I can shop online! The 150-year Anniversary is being celebrated with so many fun items and many with a black-and-white check theme. You’ll notice that some brands designed items just for this Anniversary.

Let me first talk about what I ordered. This fun black and white Houndstooth cardigan from Sandro is such a great piece to wear over my leather jeans (sizes are running low, but I love this one, too!). I got this adorable white embellished tee (running low on sizes too, but actually like this one better) under the cardigan. I also grabbed this fabulous bag to give the outfit a little color. I can wear all of these pieces with other things in my closet. I would buy the following if I had all the money in the world. This gorgeous Trench Coat, this Sapphire and Diamond Band, this Turquoise Ring, and this stunning Sapphire and Diamond Tennis Bracelet. If anyone wants to buy one or all of those for me, that would be amazing!!!

The things I love from 150-year Anniversary that I can afford and think are so fun are this Check Beaded Shoulder Bag, Hot Pink Platforms, Rainbow Dog Collar, Striped Crystal Platform Sneakers, Crystal Embellished Pajama Set, YSL Eyeshadow Palette (makes a great gift!), Striped Smiley Sweatshirt, Sequin Check Jacket, Blue, and Black Diamond Butterfly Earrings, Crochet Collar Midi Dress, and this adorable Smiley Baseball Cap. I am playing catch-up today and packing for my trip. I am so ready for a little break! It’s been a wild fall so far (Mom’s wedding, Thanksgiving, etc.), and I need a minute before Christmas to unplug. I probably wouldn’t be leaving town this close to Christmas, but it’s a free trip for me, and why wouldn’t I go?
