HI-LO DENIM: CAN YOU TELL WHICH ONES COST $200+?

Hello Monday! Can you believe we are in the last week of October? I always know the holidays are close when the Partners Card (supports the Family Place) comes out in Dallas. It’s a card that many retailers, businesses, and restaurants offer 20% off with for a week. I always purchase one and feel pressure to shop and get the discount during the week. The problem is, I never get the full week because, for some reason, we always leave town during part of it, and yes, I only get two days to shop because, like clockwork, we are leaving to visit the granddaughters for Halloween. I have to get out my shopping black belt today and tomorrow!
Hi/Lo Denim: Can You Tell Which Jeans Cost More Than $200?
Ladies, it’s time for a little fashion guessing game! One pair of jeans costs more than $200, and the other is under $100. Can you tell which is which?
I’m styling two of my favorite denim looks, and while the jeans are the stars of the show, the jackets deserve a little attention, too. One outfit is polished and classic; the other is relaxed and a little more casual. Both prove you don’t need an entirely new wardrobe to create a great outfit.
Look One: The Designer Denim Splurge
My first look features dark-wash straight-leg jeans (all sizes) by FRAME. I love how the darker wash and longer leg create a clean, elongated line, especially with a little heel. They’re the kind of jeans that can take you from lunch with friends to dinner without missing a beat.
I paired them with a brown Rag & Bone blazer, a striped button-down shirt, and suede shoes (super similar). The jacket adds structure and a tailored feel, while the stripes keep the outfit from feeling too serious. It’s classic, but it doesn’t feel boring.
Is this the more expensive outfit? You’re right if you guessed yes!
Look Two: The Affordable Denim Find
For my second look, I’m wearing the Levi’s Wedgie in a medium wash with a straight-leg silhouette. This outfit feels more relaxed, and I love how the medium wash denim pairs with the wine-colored jacket.
The striped blue shirt ties everything together, while the jacket adds a little color without being too bold. It’s an easy outfit for running errands, meeting a friend for lunch, or spending a Saturday out and about.
And here’s the fun part: these jeans cost less than $100!
So, Is the Splurge Worth It?
Here’s where I think it gets interesting. A higher price doesn’t automatically make a pair of jeans better for everyone. Fit, comfort, fabric, wash, and how often you wear them all matter.
If the Frame jeans fit you beautifully and make you feel fantastic, you may decide they’re worth the investment. If the Levi’s fit your body well and give you the look you want, that’s a win, too.
My philosophy has always been that style isn’t about wearing the most expensive thing in the room. It’s about knowing what works for you, mixing pieces you love, and feeling confident in what you’re wearing.
Now I want to know: Could you tell me which jeans were the splurge and which were the steal? And which outfit would you wear? Let me know in the comments!
Because at the end of the day, great style isn’t about the price tag. It’s about how you wear it.

I am having a crisis! My hair is thinning so badly right in the front. My part isn’t working right because of it. I am still using my red light hat every day and taking these and these hair vitamins. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, what did you do? I think mine is because I can’t take HRT. I have always had really good hair, and the thinning is really getting to me! I have an appointment with a hair specialist at the end of November, but I think he’ll probably put me on minoxidil, and I’m not sure I want to do that. Ugggghhhh! Has anyone ever bought a hair topper?
I am shooting content today and helping my mom with her car that won’t shift out of the parking brake. She wants to try to drive, and I’m fighting her a little bit about this. Her knees still won’t bend all the way, yet she wants to drive. We shall see who wins this contest!
I hope you all have a great day! Thank you so much for reading!
Be well and Stay safe! xx
