Happy Christmas week! Hope you had a great weekend and got much accomplished! Today I wanted to show you this little sparkly tuxedo cape that can be dressed up or down. With this being the last week before Christmas, you may have a party or girl’s lunch to attend, and I think this is a cute way to be low-key festive.  Of course, you might guess that I would wear it dressed down. This fits my personality a little more than wearing it as a dressy piece, but, I would love this with a crisp white shirt and black pants. There are so many things you can wear this cape with. Over a black dress, skirt, and jumpsuit would be smart looking or over a tee with a pair of ripped jeans. I think it is a fun piece to add a little bit of glam to an ordinary outfit.

I like to wear something that subtly makes a statement, and I think this cape does just that! Sort of like this did! I saw this sweater from Ted Baker and thought it would compliment the cape well. I love it and apparently so does everyone else, because it is sold out (here is a similar one). I have linked others above and below that I think will look great with the sequin cape. Another way to get this same look for less is to wear a jacket like this or this to get the same feel. Sparkly pieces used to be worn or saved for holidays and very dressy events, but I think it’s fun to add a little sparkle whenever you feel like it. It also makes your skin look a bit more radiant!

We had Christmas with my oldest and the grandchildren this past Friday night. It was so much fun watching them open their gifts and get excited about what they got. The oldest one is almost five, so he is aware of what is going on now. The kids spent the night with us and then we took them and their parents to the airport and put them on the plane to head to the other grandparents for Christmas. I’m kind of sad we won’t be able to see them come down the stairs to their Santa gifts this year, but it’s all about sharing!

Alright, my friends, be sure to enter the Nordstrom Giveaway below. I want one of my readers to win! Good Luck!
