Happy Friday! This week was a total blur for me! I spent the first three days home and in bed trying to get rid of whatever nasty upper respiratory thing I have had going on. I am finally on the mend! Honestly, I probably needed to stay in bed after the wedding! Today, one of my besties, Heather- So Heather and I wanted to show how practical a maxi dress can be in your wardrobe.

I’m sure most of you probably own a maxi dress already. We both bought the same one in different colors and styled it the way we would wear it. Heather wore hers in a way that could go out for lunch, or date night. She added a dressier strappy sandal, choker and necklace, and that adorable bag that is all over Instagram. This look really could be worn so many places. I would even wear this to a beach wedding.

 

I dressed mine down by adding the suede wedge and colorful clutch. I could wear this look shopping, to lunch, or over a bathing suit at the beach (need a tan in the worst way for that!). Anyway you slice it, this maxi dress or for that matter any cotton maxi dress can be worn to fit most outings this summer. They are easy to throw on, but with the right shoes and jewelry can look polished and ready for a night out, or a day at the beach. And…this one comes in six colors and is only $68 to boot. I ordered the XS.

The other thing, is that after the wedding and getting sick, I was so excited about getting a cookbook that I have been waiting almost a year for. I need some healthy food in my body and Laura Lee Goldberg’s cookbook has all of the recipes for just that! You might remember a blog post I did on her, HERE. I got to know Laura Lee while living in Nashville and she is so passionate about eating healthy and putting the right things in your body. She is a gorgeous young woman, and so talented. She shot many of the photos for the book herself! I promise that I am doing you a favor by mentioning it. You will love it!
