MY FAVORITE DATE NIGHT LOOKS FOR DECEMBER

Hello, ladies! How are we doing this week? Everywhere I go and everyone I’ve talked to says that there has not been enough  time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I agree! I am not finished shopping and don’t have a clue what to get the ones left on my list. Anyone else feel the same way? Today, I wanted to show my favorite date night looks for December. It may not be a date night for two (maybe you have dinner with girlfriends), but I love these looks for a fun night out.

The first look is all of my favorite pieces from Frame. I’ve decided that if I could choose one store to shop the rest of my life, it would be Frame. I love their classic pieces. I’m not a “huge” print girl and like that Frame has subtle prints. I find that I don’t get sick of my clothes as quickly if they are solids and subtle prints (like a stripe). The velvet blazer I’m wearing was one I had to have this year. The color is exquisite and can be worn over jeans, skirts, and dresses. I paired it with a smocked crewneck top in the same color and a (new style) jean in an off-white color. All three of these pieces can be worn separately with lots of other pieces. I’m obsessed with the bag I’m carrying. It was an expensive purchase ( it was my 11 year “Cancerversary” gift to myself) but, it’s honestly like having three different bags. It can be carried as a top-handle, shoulder bag, and crossbody!

The next look is a matching ribbed turtleneck and skirt. These pieces can be worn together or separately. I paired the pieces with a fur vest. Before anyone gets mad and thinks I’m horrible for wearing fur, let me explain that this is a vintage piece. I don’t buy any fur new. My oldest fur is a coat my dad gave me when I was twenty and I love it. It’s a vintage piece (now!) and it makes me think of him when I wear it. The bag I’m carrying is from Aupen. This is their first suede bag in this style, called Nirvana (which by the way I own in four colors in leather). I LOVE this bag! It’s such a good size and the price is great! I’ve also been wearing these gorgeous earrings everywhere from Dorsey. They make the prettiest lab-grown diamond pieces with the best price tag!

We are headed to the senior living facility that my in-laws live in this morning to see our granddaughter sing with her school’s choir then I am running a million errands today. We are having a dinner party on Friday with our college friends and I am trying to get everything ready. I don’t think we’ve had a dinner party for anyone else but family in a couple of years. Now I know why…it’s a ton of work! Seriously, it’s so fun, especially at this time of the year.
