Good Morning, friends! I couldn’t get a post together for yesterday because I was with the family and didn’t want to take time away from them. I hope you all had a great long weekend! We had so much fun in Naples with those grandkids! The weather was amazing the entire time we were there, and I honestly did not want to come home. I hate leaving those kids! I am so ready for Spring now after being in Florida. We came back to beautiful weather in Dallas, but it’s supposed to be rainy and cold again this week (it’s already here). I wanted to show you all my favorite faux leather jacket for Spring and talk about this massive trend.
FAUX LEATHER JACKET FOR SPRING
I remember buying a few faux leather (pleather) pieces years ago and feeling a tad embarrassed to wear them. I mean, it was not real leather! Now, this trend is everywhere, and faux leather is cool, plus it is not harmful to animals because it is, of course, man-made. Now, I’m not saying that I don’t wear real leather because I do, but faux leather is a great alternative and a lot less expensive, plus it’s so easy to clean! I saw this jacket in Anthropologie a few weeks back and had a fit over it. It has a “swing” style and fuller sleeves with subtle contrasting stitching (it’s even machine washable!). I have so many moto-style leather jackets in my closet that this jacket looked so fresh and new. And I love the shape of it and the color!
How to Style
I paired the jacket with a fun graphic tee, my grey jeans, and my favorite boots from Paris Texas. I will wear this jacket all year long with dresses and both white and blue denim. Faux leather is everywhere and is available in jackets, dresses, shirts, leggings, jeans, and pants. Are you a leather or faux leather kind of girl? I am in for both!
After being gone for four days, I am playing catch up today and trying to figure out what the heck happened to my skin. Last night, I started getting welt like bumps on my face and breaking out in eczema on my neck. I took Benadryl before I went to bed and they are a little better this morning. I’m guessing I had an allergic reaction to something but not sure what it was. Anyway, I have lots of errands and laundry to get to today (woohoo!).
I hope you all have a great day!
