Hi! I hope you all had a great Fourth of July! We were very low-key, which was nice but a little boring. We usually do something big for the Fourth, but this year was quiet. We have been watching a series that makes me very anxious, and I am unsure if I can finish it. Have you all seen “Your Honor?” OMG!!! Did anyone see “The Night Of?” a while back? This series reminds me of how I felt watching that one! Now that July 4th is over, it’s SALE time in stores and online to make room for fall. If you are a Nordstrom shopper, you know the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts next week.

Nordstrom has changed things up a bit from previous years and has put all sale items online for you to preview now. I have spent hours reviewing what I think are my favorite picks and buys. If you are an NSALE shopper, I would encourage you to add the products you love to your wish list. If you are unsure how to do that, pick your size, and you will find a box below with a heart. The box has also let me know that I can shop the sale on the 13th because of my card status. I hope many of you can shop it the day it launches, on the 9th. My advice is to have that wish list ready to go. This is a great time to stock up on basics, deeply discounted pieces you might typically not buy, and cosmetics.

The pieces above are not everything I would buy, but the top ones on my wishlist. I will share more next week, as I usually do during this sale. In the meantime, I wanted to show you all a couple of looks I have been wearing lately.

 

I love this linen jacket from Quince. It is lightweight and cut like a denim jacket. I love the color and am considering getting it in olive for fall. It comes in six additional colors and is under $60! I am wearing it with a white tee and these comfortable and stylish Tencel wide-leg pants. I also just got this cotton-smocked dress. It reminds me of an Italian vacation dress (unfortunately, it will be worn in Dallas!). None of these pieces are over $60! The only thing I have spent more money on at Quince is this fabulous weekend bag (I will use it as a carry-on). The leather is so nice, and the color is beautiful. I got the golden tan! It has three compartments and a luggage sleeve!

 

This is the other look that I have been wearing a lot lately. A V-neck tee and these “Le Baggy Palazzo” pants in washed summer sage. These pants are made of a lightweight twill that will develop a lived-in feel with each wear. I got my usual size but would size down if you like a tighter look. I also recently purchased this fantastic chain link belt. It gives a “cool” vibe. The kitten-heel leopard pump is my favorite shoe purchase of late. They look exactly like the Saint Laurent pair. I have worn them with so many things.

I went to a functional medical doctor last week who is challenging me to go on a 10-day diet to see if it helps my gut and eczema. I am starting it today, and my husband is doing it with me. I am to eat nothing but beef (any way), water, and black coffee. I am already starving and not sure I can do it for that long. She is convinced it is going to help. Oh, that means no red wine! Yikes! I will report back next week! Wish us luck!
