SPRING BLAZER TIME

SPRING BLAZER TIME
Hi, everyone! I don’t know where you are, but the adage, “In like a lion, out like a lamb,” rang true this past weekend in Dallas. Our grandchildren had outdoor games on Saturday and Sunday, and the wind was insane and chilly. Did you know that Dallas ranks higher than Chicago for windy cities? A little fun fact for you! Since it’s spring and the weather is very unpredictable, I wear a lot of blazers. In fact, I can’t get enough of them, but they can get pricey. Today, I wanted to show two perfect spring blazers that are stylish and reasonably priced.
I don’t have to explain to you why blazers are such a good choice for spring (well, all year round) because you are all savvy 50+ somethings. You get it and know that adding a third piece can take a “normal” outfit and pull it together for a more polished and finished look. I love wearing blazers to keep me warm and to cover my arms if I want. We all get it, so let’s talk about the two blazers here.
The first is from Favorite Daughter. The two sisters who started the brand are still going strong and designing well-made, stylish, and affordable pieces. I love this ivory blazer, with clean lines that will go with everything from dresses to jeans. I think an ivory blazer is a must for a spring wardrobe. I paired the blazer with a super cute polka dot camisole (unfortunately, it’s sold out in almost every size) and my favorite off-white jeans (that I have already worn many times). I wanted to create a very neutral look.

The second blazer is a fun black and (almost) white check that screams spring to me. I love a black-and-white look in the spring. This blazer is lightweight and is so versatile. You can wear every color of the rainbow underneath it! I am wearing a simple black tee and the same jeans as above.

My friend Janet is still here (yay!), and we’ve had so much fun shopping, eating, drinking, and solving the world’s problems (and there are a lot of them!). She is like the sister I never had! As I write this, I am back at my allergist for another round of shots. My eyes were so swollen and itchy this morning, and I overheard another lady say the same thing. I don’t know what is blooming at the moment, but it seems like it’s getting a lot of us.
I hope you have a great day! Stay well and Be safe! xx
