SUMMER LOOKS I’VE BEEN WEARING
Hi, ladies! I cannot for the life of me believe it is almost July. I have had a lot going on, and maybe that is why I feel like I can’t keep up with time moving so fast. We got back from the beach with our entire family (which was so fun), and it’s been go, go, go, since. I am reporting that the shot that I had in my back two weeks ago worked about 25%, which is a bummer. I am now going to be moving on to PT in hopes that it will give me some relief, but honestly, I am at the point where if surgery will fix all this, then bring it on!!! I know back issues are common with a lot of us, but I am truly so tired of it and the not knowing if it’s my back or my glute. Getting old is super fun!
I wanted to show a few of my favorite pieces that I have been wearing lately. Butter yellow has obviously been a big color for the spring and summer, and I am still riding the wave with the butter yellow vest. I love it with white denim, but it looks equally cute with blue denim or brown pants.

This lavender organza blouse has been on major rotation. I am obsessed with it! I love it with white denim (again), but it looks great with black pants or denim, and it looks great open over a black dress or a tank. The color is dreamy! I like it with a black bra underneath, but a camisole looks good too. I also paired this top with these jeans last weekend for dinner (so fun!)

I love the green pleated skirt. I have been wearing it since late spring and still think it is so fun. Gotta love an elastic waist! I paired it with butter-yellow accessories, but this green pairs well with so many colors. I got the scarf necklace above in both green and blue. It comes in several colors and adds just the right amount of color for me to jazz up a white tee.

Last but not least, this lightweight, summer-striped dress is perfect. It looks good on its own, but pair it with a sweater and a belt, and you have a whole different look. I am also loving these sandals from Joyasol, a brand new to me. They are designed by women and are so stinking comfortable!
I am so excited to attend an event in Dallas tonight to celebrate the opening of Sézane (I am wearing this dress)! We are so lucky to be getting the boutique here. I also heard that Julia Armory (this dress in my cart) is opening a store in Dallas, too! I feel like Dallas is the New York of the South (as far as shopping goes) now! It’s funny, whenever I travel, I like to get in a shopping day, but I’ve noticed recently (when shopping out of town) that Dallas has everything, and I can pretty much find what I need here. Husband is so glad when I say I don’t need to shop out of town!
