VINTAGE COAT
Hi Everyone! Can I tell you, that I am “over” dreary weather! I am so ready for Spring!!! I think that’s why I chose to wear this bright orange coat. I love black, but I need some color in my life right now! This coat was given to me by one of my best friends in the world. It is a vintage Courreges, and was given to her by her late husband, who had kept it after his mom passed away. Did you get all of that? Anyway, it is very small, and she couldn’t wear it, so she asked me to try it on, and well, it came home with me! I wore it in one of my earlier posts HERE (wig and all!!!).
I adore coats, and this one is very special. The color is fantastic, and I love it paired with my jeans and sneakers, for a twist on a classic. Do you all collect vintage pieces? My friend Sam, of Style of Sam, is a big vintage collector, and I wish I knew more about it. She has some great pieces! I wonder how old something has to be (in clothing) to be considered vintage? I would guess it’s about 40 to 50 years. I think this coat is certainly old enough to be considered vintage.
My older son comes into town today. It’s his first time to see where we live in Nashville. I’m so excited for him to get here! He has a meeting, so it’s just for the one night, but it will be fun to have him here. I am flying back to Dallas tomorrow. This is a very spur of the moment trip. I have been having some breast pain for a couple of weeks (on my non cancer side), and my doctor feels like I should come in and have an ultrasound. I’m trying not to worry, but having her say, “come in and let’s check this”, has gotten my attention! I guess for a while, this whole experience will be a bit of a rollercoaster ride. I have been fortunate so far, not having any any problems, and I am praying that this is nothing but some nerve pain. I will fill you in!
I hope you all have a great day! I appreciate you stopping by!

Cathy I love everything about this look and would wear it in an instant! You look great! And for online resellers they usually consider 20 years at least for the title of vintage. Hey, that means I have a bunch of clothes in my closet I bought myself that are now vintage! 🙂

Cathy, I hate to read the post about your pain, in your non-cancer breast side. Please know that you will be in my prayers?
If you ever are in Birmingham, PLEASE come help me learn how to dress!!?

Hi Cathy, I also live with the breast cancer monkey on my shoulder. I get it. Even though your intellect tells you no worries, another little devil provides a gut punch. The good news is that you have several diversions until your doctor appt. – a beautiful family, loving friends, and a successful business your built on your own. You go girl. XO

The coat is stunning Cathy …. it actually looks very current and stylish on you. It’s a great fit. I can understand your concerns but I think your doctors recommendation to have an ultrasound is definitely the best idea. (I’m sure you agree too)
Thinking about you and hoping that everything is ok …take care.
