WHAT I AM WEARING FOR NEW YEAR’S EVE
Hi, everyone! I hope you all had the very merriest Christmas filled with so much joy and light! We had a relatively quiet but very good one. Now we get to talk about what I am (or you) wearing for New Year’s Eve. First, though, I want to tell you all how much I appreciate all of you! You don’t have to look at this blog at all; I get it. It shows up in your inbox (maybe), or you see it on Facebook, but you don’t have to open it. For those who religiously do or even if you occasionally do, it means a lot to me, and I am so grateful to you! I am getting a little sappy because the last six weeks were very stressful for me. I learned a big fat lesson because I took on too much. I have a hard time saying “no.” Anyway, I agreed to more collaborations than I should have, and I am so sorry if you were getting too many emails from me. It was a lot of work and robbed the joy of Christmas for me this year. I hate learning lessons the hard way! I just wanted to tell you all how much I appreciate you hanging in there with me!
What I am wearing for New Year’s Eve
Now we can move on to what I am wearing for New Year’s Eve. My husband and I have never been huge NYE celebrators. We generally like to keep it low key with just us or a few good friends. This year, as of right this minute, we are having a few couples over for dinner. It’s just easier to do it at a house instead of fighting for a reservation in Dallas (that’s because we forgot to make one!). We can huddle up by the fire and catch up and maybe get out a game! Because we are staying in, I got this pretty grey velvet robe blazer and shimmer tee so that I at least look somewhat festive (both on major sale). I love the two pieces with white jeans and the suede pumps (which I will start with, but I am sure will come off early on).
My picks for New Year’s Eve Pieces Below
What are you all doing for New Year’s Eve? Do you have to get dressed up? I think throwing on anything sparkly, velvet, or jewel tone will be winners! I’m sure you all have your outfits picked out by now, but if not, I am giving my picks for New Year’s Eve dressed up and down. Most of these are either on sale or under $200.
I hope you all have the best New Year’s Eve and I am praying that each of you reading this will have a very wonderful, blessed, healthy, stress-free, and prosperous year! I am a big believer in writing down what you are expecting because it seems to give your expectations and goals life. Whatever they are, I hope they become a reality! Thank you again for reading this blog. By doing so, you all have given me a purpose, and I am so grateful.
Blessings and love to you all! xx

Hey, Susan! I think you can wear white jeans all year round now. Even in CT, I would love white jeans with a big chunky turtleneck and boots. Just treat them like you would a blue jean. Do it!!! Wishing you a very blessed New Year! Thank you for your comments! xx

Oh I just love that velvet jacket! Not in my size too bad for me. You always look lovely. I have bought a couple of velvet blouses which I try to wear here in Florida in the winter. Just wish it would get colder here!

Hi, Chery! Thank you so much for your sweet words! I appreciate them more than you know and they so touched my heart this morning. I know what I do is not Rocket Science, but it does take a lot of time and reading your comment makes it all worth it! I slept 11 hours last night and plan on doing the same tonight. I needed a little TLC for sure.
I hope that you had a beautiful holiday and pray that your new year will be filled with many blessings! Thank you, again, for this sweet comment! Happy New Year!

BLan! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! You are the sweetest to say such kind things! If you watched the news all the way through, I’m sorry! The story was not on (obviously). Hopefully, they will air it soon. It is a story on Reward Style.
I hope I get to see you in the coming year! Wishing you a wonderful and blessed New Year! Lots of love to you!

Cathy, thank you for your sweet words. We must lift each other up. My two closest friends are both ovarian cancer survivors, so I’ve seen the battle up close. I pray for you every time I read your blog. I live in the DFW area. I’m a professional pianist with a serious couture sewing habit. I’m usually playing at First Presbyterian Dallas on Sundays. You inspire me to curate a beautiful wardrobe for myself, both hand made and purchased. Quality over quantity. I’m also a grandmother and it’s the best! Blessings to you!

Hi Cathy! I’m new to your blog. I heard about it on the NBC news tonight, so I decided to bookmark your page. Love your New Year s Eve attire. Mine will be very laid back since I am spending it with my husband at home. It’s really our favorite thing to do. I’ll search the blog for a place to sign up with my email. Thanks for being here!

Hi Kathy,
Happy New Year! Can you tell me what size blazer you’re wearing? I think I we’re the same size and not sure about AT’s sizing.
Thanks!

Hi, Lynn! Happy New Year! I am wearing the size 0. I am 5’6″ and sometimes buy a 0P, depending on the length of the blazers. Most of the time they are a little short on me in the 0P. Hope this helps! xx

Hi again and Happy New Year to you too! You must be super tiny! I had already ordered the size 4 and got it today. It fits perfectly and is such a pretty velvet blazer. I get a lot of inspiration from your blog! Thank you.
