Good Morning! Hope you all are having a great week so far! I am in Rosemary Beach, Florida for a few days with friends. It’s been raining here off and on for the last few days, but today is bright and sunny, YAY!!! Wanted to share a fun girls day that I had a few weeks ago. My blogger friends, Tanya Foster of Tanya Foster, Heather Anderson, of So Heather, Brooke Burke, of One Small Blonde, and Tiffany Davros, of Street Style Squad drove from Dallas to Tyler, Texas to have lunch at a new spot called, The Grove. I can honestly say, that this is so worth the two hour drive from Dallas! The Grove is more than just a restaurant, it’s an experience! It is a farm to table restaurant that feels like a classic southern home surrounded by nature.

The property is in a gorgeous setting with beautiful trees and foliage. As you walk up to the front, there is a building that has prepared foods that you can run in and pick up (it’s the one that has the cute writing on the side in the pictures above). As you walk into the main restaurant, you are greeted with beautiful white sofas and lamps on the porch. The bar is probably one of the most beautiful rooms I’ve ever seen! The decor is exquisite! There is not one inch of this place that is not fabulous! There is an indoor restaurant, outdoor seating, and a smoke shack, for amazing Texas barbecue, an outdoor area with a stage and lots of space for roaming. Plus, they have a private chef’s room for a small dinner party.

The Grove was opened, because there was not an elegant place in Tyler for nice lunches and dinners, or a place to have receptions or parties. The Grove is the brainchild of Michael Herd and some of his family members. Funny, small world, story…he is the son of a sorority sister of mine and is dating my daughters best friend. Anyway, this is just a really special place.

We were seated with Michael and the the amazing Chef, who shared his delicious creations with us. I could have eaten nothing but the peaches and goat cheese! I have never had a watermelon sandwich before either, and it was so yummy! Everything that came out to the table was worth the calories! We even got to try the barbecue from the Smoke Stack. It was the most fun day, and it’s definitely worth the drive to experience The Grove…I can’t wait to go back!

Have a great day!
