Good Morning everyone! I hope you all are doing great and your weekend was good! What happened with the weather? It was 86 last week in Dallas, then the temperatures dropped, and when I got back to Nashville on Saturday it was freezing! The last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind for me, especially this past weekend. If you have read this blog, you know that I was in Dallas for a few weeks. I had four doc appointments during that time. All of my results from colonoscopy to oncology were all good…Praise the Lord!!! I also had an MRI on my lower back (anyone else having this issue as well?). All good except for one disc. Anyway…I am very BLESSED!!!

On Thursday, I headed downtown to  (such a cool hotel!) for a conference. My friend, Heather (Style by Fluent) and I decided it would be fun to stay in the hotel, so she was my roommate. The conference was put on by Reward Style, which is an invitation only network that helps bloggers monetize their content. Amber Venz Box and Baxter Box are the creators of RewardStyle and LiketoKnowit. They have built their company into multi-million dollar business in just a few short years. The conference is held every year, and is invitation only as well. I have been dying to attend for the last few years, and this was my year! By the way, if you haven’t signed up for LiketoKnowit, and use Instagram, you should! That way, whenever you see something you like from a blogger who uses it, and like (or heart) the photo, you will get the details in your emails inbox.

Thursday night started off the conference with a cocktail party on the roof. It was so fun to catch up with bloggers I already knew and to meet new ones. It’s sort of strange to follow someone’s blog or instagram, and feel like you already know them when you actually meet them! There was a group of “over 40” bloggers there, and we all stayed pretty close together! Friday started early with classes, then a lunch, then more classes. There was so much information (especially for me) to learn. Is it possible to teach an old dog new tricks… I hope so! That evening we attended a cocktail party put on by the brand, . It was a garden party and the scene was beautiful! I have to say, that we “older” girls were all complaining at the end of the party about our feet. Wearing heels for a long period of time, is not my favorite thing!!! Saturday morning I had three brand meetings, then grabbed my luggage and headed to the airport. I left the conference early to get back for an important wedding. I just made it home on time to throw on my dress!

Yesterday, I was EXHAUSTED!!! We had company staying here for the wedding, so I was up to tell them goodbye, unpacked my suitcase, then got back in bed at noon and slept until four! This girl can’t go and go like I used to!

I wanted to post the pictures of a photo shoot we did during the conference on Friday afternoon. This is the ,by Jonathan Simkhai (less expensive version link below)I wore to the party that night. When I saw this at Nordstrom, I knew it was the one (went up one size, as it is a pretty tight fit). It just looked really fun on the hanger!  What I like about it, is that it looks great with heels, but I can also see it with a pair of dressier flat sandals for a beach trip (it’s cotton and linen). It would look great with a wedge too! When I make a purchase, I really think about how else I might be able to wear it. This will be on rotation a lot this spring and summer!

I hope you all have a great day! I will still be trying to catch up! xoxo
