EVIL EYE AND A GREAT FITTING JEAN
Happy Good Friday! Are you all ready for Easter? I am pretty close but more than that, ready for some sunshine! Today is part two of my collaboration with Walmart, and their “We Dress America” campaign, and IÂ picked out an evil eye and a great fitting jean that I love! Before I get started though, I want you all to know that I love it when you email me to let me know your thoughts or what you are interested in. I have had several people ask me to show some lower-priced items that are still fashionable, well, today is the day!’
Nothing gets me more excited than finding a deal. I know that some of my clothes are on the pricey side, but I am trying to buy quality pieces that I will have for a long time. But because of what I do, I have to shop a lot and can’t spend a fortune on most things. I still gasp when I see a cotton button down for close to $300 and will not pay that price. I do try to get many of my more expensive pieces on sale. When I started looking at the Walmart site, I was amazed that what I found was fashion-forward, good quality, and budget-friendly.
Sofia Vergara line for Walmart
Did you know that Sofia Vergara has a line of clothing at Walmart? She does more than just Rooms To Go (haha)! I love evil eyes, and when I saw this evil eye tee, I put it in my cart right away. Graphic tees are so fun right now (again) and this one comes in three other colors and in sizes XS-XXXL. I also love this boho peasant style top in the denim blue. My favorite piece from the Sofia Vergara line are these white jeans with black stripe. I’m posting an Instagram later today with my Chic at Every Age girls and the jeans I am wearing look so similar and are about ten times more expensive!
Honestly one of the best fitting jeans I’ve worn
Speaking of jeans, the pair I am wearing is one of the best fitting ones I’ve ever worn. These are a mid-rise slim fit stretch bootcut. I know a lot of you like a high rise, but I have a long torso and short legs so mid-rise works better on me. I ordered a 0 and expected to have to try a few sizes, but these fit me great the first go round. My husband even said he liked the way these look! I’ve said it before but finding a jean that fits is usually trial and error. If you are shopping online, I will often buy a few styles and sizes then send what doesn’t work back. I’m also wearing the same denim jacket I wore in my last Walmart post because I thought the light blue denim worked with the tee and darker jean.
Now, let’s discuss how cute these wedges are. I bought a relatively expensive pair of black leather wedges last year and have been looking everywhere for a neutral color pair. Low and behold, I found them at Walmart! These wedges are from Splendid and are so stinking cute and comfortable. Unfortunately, sizes are dwindling every day. I will say that a lot of products sell out quickly at Walmart, so if you like something, grab it! I also like this pair too! Can you believe that the whole look is under $200? Usually, one pair of jeans come in close to that price.
Walmart has such cute bathing suits
With Summer on its way, Walmart has adorable bathing suits too! I don’t wear bathing suits that often so I don’t like to spend a lot on them. I’m ordering this one (I can’t believe the price)! I also think this is a pretty and flattering suit. Also, I am going to order this cover up to add to my collection. I’m quickly learning that Walmart is a great place to find those pieces that you need but don’t want to spend a lot on!
We are out for dinner tonight with friends and hope for a low-key night tomorrow before the whirlwind hits my house on Sunday (the family of four are back and moving in!). I hope each of you has a beautiful and blessed Easter (or Passover) weekend. Thank God that Jesus is Risen! xx

Your outfit is cute and trendy, but Walmart is no… sorry, Just No. I will pick a few things up at Target, but Walmart is always a No.

Cathy, what brand of jeans are those? I follow you from Canada, so links don’t always directly work, but I can search the Walmart Canada site for them. Thank you for all you do!

Please don’t say “happy Good Friday”- it’s wildly inappropriate

Hi, Emme! Thank you for your comment and I totally understand where you are coming from. I am a Christian and know that Good Friday is not a “happy” day. I was just trying to be happy in the way I said hello and I’m very sorry if it offended you. I hope you had a great Easter!

Hi Cathy
As a fellow Christian, I knew exactly what you meant by Happy Good Friday- While it was a horrifically sad day, it was also the beginning of the plan of redemption that our Lord had planned from the beginning! I follow you enough to know your heart is in the right place and was not offended by your post- it was simply a joyful way of opening and recognizing the significance of the day. Hope your Easter was amazing- He Is Risen!!
