BEAUTY TALK ABOUT MY FAVORITE NORDSTROM PRODUCTS

Happy Wednesday, friends! You are halfway through another week and closer to the holidays (how about that for a Halloween fright?). Seriously, can you believe how close it is to Christmas? I have not purchased one gift yet, and by this time, I am usually on my way. I need to start thinking about it. We aren’t going to worry because worry causes stress and wrinkles, and we don’t want those gifts! Speaking of wrinkles (how about that segway?) I am having a beauty talk about my favorite Nordstrom products.

I have partnered with Nordstrom a few times about beauty products before and feel like I get too excited and talk about too many things. Today, I wanted to show you a few things from cosmetics that I can’t live without and a few from skincare that are my holy grail. I try many products (some given to me and a lot I buy) but I am devoted to the ones I will talk about.

Let’s get started with a few cosmetics. I am like a kid in a candy store when it comes to makeup. I could buy a new lipstick every day (and they would probably all be about the same color!) if I let myself. Makeup is such fun, and I almost always wear it. I love putting it on and playing in it. These are the products that I buy over and over again and again. Have you all tried Tom Ford Emotionproof Eye Color? This cream eyeshadow stays on for 24 hours. I have the worst allergies, and my eyeshadow usually tears off until I met this product. I will apply this first and then put a powder shadow over it. No problems anymore! The mascara that I should buy stock in is from Chantecaille. I’ve mentioned it a lot, but it is incredible. The price is steep for mascara, but it does help your lashes grow. I have used it for years and am afraid to stop using it!

My favorite lipstick and gloss are from MAC and Chanel. I am usually wearing Cream Cup, and my lipgloss is Sugarrimed. If I need my lipstick to stay on all day or am wearing a face cover, I wear this lip color from Chanel (in Chic Beige). I have allergies to so many lipstick brands, but MAC and Chanel are the ones that work for me. I always use Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Highlighter over any blush I have. These give such a pretty soft glow. My favorite eyebrow pencil is this one from ( in Chestnut) Tom Ford. I have also been using the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder for years. Put this on top of your eye concealer, and it brightens you right up! The perfume I switch to when the weather gets cold is from Tom Ford as well. It smells like cold weather!

Do you all sleep on a satin pillowcase? If you don’t, you should be. Ladies (and men), these pillowcases are the best for keeping your face and hair products where they belong when you sleep. Cotton soaks up what you have on your skin, but silk keeps it where it needs to stay. They also help reduce friction, so you are not damaging your hair. We (yes, my husband too!) have used ours so much that it was time to invest in a new set. Don’t you think these make a great holiday gift? Another gift idea is the Nest Fragrance Petite Holiday Diffuser Set. I know this is not a beauty product, but I keep these in my bathroom, so it feels that way. The Holiday Set has Birchwood Pine, Holiday, and Spiced Orange and Clove (my fav). I can’t wait to open these up!

So let me get on to skincare. I am happy that Nordstrom started carrying my favorite brand, Augustinus Bader. Ladies, this has changed my skin! Augustinus Bader is a university professor and one of the world’s leading stem cell and biomedical scientists. He is the originator of a breakthrough medical treatment that activates the body’s innate regenerative process. He came out with two moisturizing creams in 2018. One is The Cream and the other The Rich Cream. Both have TFC8® (Trigger Factor Complex) that brings an innovative approach to skincare that supports the body’s natural renewal process to visibly reduce the signs of aging and damage caused by environmental stressors. These creams are super hydrating and stimulate the skin’s natural process to rejuvenate and dramatically improve the complexion.

I have dry skin, so the natural choice for me was The Rich Cream. This cream is formulated to give significant hydration (great for dryer climates). The ingredients have argan, avocado, and evening primrose oil that provide deep penetrating moisture. Skin feels more elastic, soothed, and hydrated and looks plumper. I have noticed that my pores look a lot smaller (in some cases, gone) after using this product. I use The Rich Cream morning and night. The Cream is for normal, combination, and oily skin. It’s a perfect daytime moisturizer and great for a more humid climate. Both products are excellent for brightening, reducing the appearance of scars and age spots, diminish redness, and the overall skin looks healthier. Augustinus Bader also came out with an ultra-conditioning Body Cream that helps firm, tones, and makes skin look healthier.

I am so excited about the launch of his new products, The Face Oil and The Body Oil. I just bought these and have loved incorporating them into my daily regime. The face oil is a rich blend of botanical oils that help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation. It also promotes elasticity and strengthens the skin barrier. I use this at night (only) over The Rich Cream. The Body Oil is a soothing blend of plant-based actives, including Vitamin E, Argan, Olive fruit oil, and Squalane. It helps reduce the appearance of cellulite, stretch marks, and pigmentation. I love the feel of this oil. It’s moisturizing without leaving me feeling greasy.

I know this sounds like an infomercial for Augustinus Bader products, but there is a reason he has a cult following. The products work! I started buying them when the first two products came out in 2018 and have not stopped using them. I can truly tell the difference! As I said, I am so happy that Nordstrom started carrying these products. Nordstrom is the best for one-stop shopping for all things beauty! You can find everything there (and then some)!

What do you all have going on for today? I am going shopping to find some Halloween treats to send to my grandkids. I have seen Christmas decorations going up in all of the stores, so I hope to still find some cute Halloween gifts to send them.
