CHIC IS THE WORD
Happy Friday! Chic is the word today! How would you define the meaning of Chic? I think it is classy, elegant, and smart. Some would say fashionable and stylish too. Whatever your definition of the word is, I think we all possess some bit of “chicness.” Some just do it better than others. There is a woman in Nashville who is 80 plus years old that I think, is the chicest woman I’ve ever met. I’ve known her for over twenty years, and she gets chicer every year! Some women just have the “chic factor.” Think Audrey Hepburn, Catherine Deneuve, Kate Middleton, and Victoria Beckham. I believe there are different kinds of chic, as in sporty chic, nerdy chic, grandma chic, sexy chic… you get the message. We all can be some kind of chic!
Of course, the piece that the Chic at Every Age girls is showing is this cute “Chic” sweatshirt. We had to have it since it fits our group name, but I think it is super cute. I think we all put our own spin on how we wanted this to look. Goes to show that you can take a graphic sweatshirt and make it chic!
Natalie- The Fashion Hour, Looks so cute and fresh with her bright red boots and those amazing red lips! I wish I could wear a red lip!!! Red is not my friend!
Sam- Style of Sam, looks very chic with her Hermes accessories. I’ve said it before; Sam has THE best accessories. She’s the queen of accessorizing!
Heather- So Heather, has that “cool chic” vibe going on. I love the white shoes and bag!
Me- I am into white jeans as I said in this previous post, so I wanted to wear them to play off the white letters on the sweatshirt. I also wanted to wear a shirt under it, because it was so chilly the day we shot this. I thought the leopard print would be fun. It turned into a casual fun looking outfit.
What are your plans for the weekend? I’m sure the Super Bowl is one of them. I am excited to see Justin Timberlake at half-time. We are taking our 96-year-old friend, Harold, to dinner on Saturday night. He is the sweetest and most most interesting man. He still drives ( he bought a brand new Volvo last year. I like where his head is!), carries his groceries himself to his condo, and always wears a white shirt and Levi’s. He is an angel! I hope you all have a great weekend! xx

All you women are probably very chic, but, I’m sorry wearing a “billboard” screaming “chic” says exactly the opposite.
It looks very teenie-bopper.
Classy women don’t have to say “look how classy I am”.

Hi, Victoria! Actually, none of us thinks we are that Chic. You should see behind the scenes! We dress in our cars, tag a baby along, have a million malfunctions on the regular. We just loved the sweatshirt because our group is called “Chic at any Age”. We thought it was fun for that reason.
