Good Morning! How was your weekend? What did you think of the Superbowl? Better yet, what did you think of the half-time show? I am a big fan of Justin Timberlake and thought it was great! Loved the tribute to Prince! JT has got the moves and I wish I could dance like him! You all might remember how much I love a good sleeve. I was shopping around and found this super fun ruffle sleeve jacket (under $100). Sleeves are my thing, especially a bell sleeve! This jacket is a little “track” like in style, but the striped ruffle sleeve gives it a more feminine feel. It’s the perfect weight for warmer Winter days but is thin enough to wear under a coat.
I thought the purple cashmere sweater was so fun to wear in early February since it does say AMOUR. The lavender color is my favorite! I thought lavender would be beautiful mixed with the navy jacket, but so many colors would be great under this jacket. Again, I am pulling out white denim, because I liked it much better than blue with the top pieces. All three of these pieces will be great through the Spring.
Y’all, Saturday night we took our ninety-six (almost ninety-seven) year old friend to dinner. I’m going to tell you that it was so special. This man is amazing! He requires no help getting in and out of the car, knew every single waiter’s name at the restaurant, and told us story after story of his life (so much more to learn), This man has seen a lot of illness (from others in his life) but has so much joy! He reiterated over and over how much he loves to have fun! I asked him what the secret to a long life was and he said always to have a positive attitude. Can you imagine what the world would be like if we all followed his intention each day? Our dinner was 3 1/2 hours, and we just scratched the surface. We are getting together next month to celebrate his ninety-seventh! My weekend was great because of that dinner!
I’m off to hit the weights with my darling trainer. I hope you have a great Monday!
