ARMY GREEN FOR SPRING

ARMY GREEN FOR SPRING

Happy Friday, ladies! We got back from Nashville last night, and as much as it sucked that we were there for a funeral, it sure was great seeing so many of our good friends. The funeral was beautiful and a testament to our friend’s life and how he lived it. He was honestly THE nicest person on the planet! There were many beautiful stories about him and how he made people feel. I thought a lot about that yesterday and what people would say about me when that time comes. All I can say is that it made me want to be a better human! I hope that I leave a lasting imprint of kindness on people.

ARMY GREEN PANTS

I shot this casual look a week ago and love the simplicity of it. A white cotton blouse and army green cotton pants are an easy way to look unintentionally cool without trying too hard. We are all so busy, and I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to think that hard in my closet! Fashion should be fun, not complicated. Let’s face it, putting a shirt and pants together is not rocket science. What helps is that these pants have a frayed hem giving them a cooler vibe, and mixed with a kitten heel makes them look even more fantastic (in my opinion).

I am so glad that army green is resurfacing again (does it ever go away?) and even camouflage for pants and jackets (this one is my favorite!). Have you seen Frame’s new collaboration with Julia Sarr-Jamois, the British Vogue Fashion Director? She used a camouflage motif for fun utility pants. They show it worn with a crochet-trim white tank and heeled sandals. A cool look without trying too hard! Before I ruffle anyone’s feathers, camouflage is JUST a print, and I am not supporting anyone or any group or making a statement by just liking it for fashion’s sake!

I love people-watching in the airport and trying to figure out who they are and where they are going. I think last night in Nashville took the cake from what I saw. A couple was standing behind us at our gate. She was looking into his mouth and pointing. The next thing I knew, she had grabbed a huge container (which looked like a bubble gum tape container), and he tore off a very long piece of dental floss. Yep, he started flossing his teeth right behind us, and it wasn’t in one spot; he did his whole mouth! That will teach me not to people-watch!!!!

I am so excited because, on Monday, I am taking my mom to L.A. to visit my daughter and grandbabies. My mom has not met the new one yet and has not traveled anywhere in a long time. I know it is going to be so much fun!

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Stay well and Be safe! xx
