BLACK AND WHITE BUT WON’T BITE
Good Morning everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! We flew back to Dallas on Saturday (and of course it was the prettiest day in Florida!), and I have been sick as a dog! As I said here last week, I caught the cough from either my granddaughter or daughter, and it got much worse this weekend with a sore throat on top of it. I can’t remember the last time I was sick like this!
Anyway, it was still good to come home and see the sun shining! I wanted to show you all these fun snake print jeans I bought in LA a few weeks ago. Also, I mentioned in this post that snake prints are a huge trend and I went a little bit crazy for the print while shopping. I’ve always loved black and white as spring staples and this is one black and white snake that won’t bite, but instead looks super chic!
These snake print jeans can be mixed with any color
The jeans are from Paige, and I have bought this fit (Hoxton) several times in different washes. These jeans can be combined with any color in the rainbow so don’t let them scare you. I would even mix them with a floral print too! The girls at the store talked me into sizing down because they stretch. I wish I had gotten my normal size because they have not stretched that much. I love them with my favorite bootie but will wear sandals with these jeans most of the time this spring and summer.
This blouse is the prettiest I have in my closet
The blouse I am wearing is from Paige as well. I wish I had bought it in black too. It is a gorgeous blouse and so feminine. I love the bell sleeve on it. This is one of those blouses that just ads an element of sophistication to anything you are wearing below. I have so many white blouses in my closet, but this is by far the prettiest one. If you wear a size small or large, I would jump at getting the blouse here in a cream/tan…its on major sale! It was still super chilly when we shot these photos at the beginning of last week, so I had to throw on a jacket. I think a leather (vegan if you don’t do leather) moto jacket is a quintessential jacket for everyone’s closet. They add warmth and are so chic. I wear mine all year long.
I am hoping to get out and do a few errands today. I am ready to start feeling better and hoping that getting out of the house might make me feel that way. That or going to the doctor!!! I hope you all have a great day! Thank you for reading!

My quest this year is to get a great white dress shirt that is not see through. I would like one with a collar though. Do you have any recommendations?
Thanks! Sorry to hear you are not feeling well – hope you feel better soon. 🙂

I love these jeans! Will definitely order some. And white blouses work with so many things. Your blog has become my favorite because I can actually wear many things you wear. Thank you! Hope you can slow down a bit and get over this cough.

Cathy,
I live in Dallas and love your blog. Would you mind terribly if I asked you who does your hair? I’m your age and can’t find anyone that can cut and give volume while still looking natural and pretty. I’ve looked around the blog and can’t find any mention of it.
Thanks so much!

Hi, Tori! So sorry I am late getting to this comment! I would not mind at all! JoJo at THE DO cuts my hair. It’s in Preston Center directly across from DSW. Maybe I will see you there!

Thank you so much Cathy! I have an appt on Tuesday! I hope a new cut gives me a little boost – lord knows I need one 😉 I’m not normally a blog person but you’ve sort of become my “style icon” lol! When I turned 50 I completely forgot how to dress – suddenly I felt too old to wear anything in my closet but not old enough to dress like my mother (who was precious by the way)! You’re helping me find my way ????????! See you at The Do! Thanks again!
