Good Morning everyone! I hope you are having a great week so far. We are in Highlands, North Carolina for the week. We come every summer to visit my in-laws and bring the heat with us every single year too! Have you ever been here? Their house looks over the mountains with the most picturesque view, and the sunsets are glorious! Today I am partnering up with Nordstrom to show you this fun look from the Anniversary Sale. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is my favorite sale of the year. There are eleven more days to take advantage of the sale before prices go back up, and I am scouring the website to make sure I ordered everything I think I will need for fall now. How do you feel about boyfriend jeans mixed with girly ruffles and pearls? I decided that was the way I was going to go with these Rag and Bone Boyfriend jeans in olive.

I have several pairs of Boyfriend style jeans that I wear, but I didn’t realize that these were a boyfriend style until I looked at the tag. They are a slimmer cut style than most boyfriend jeans, which I like a lot. A few of my other pairs look like a family could move in, so these are a bit more flattering. I love the color too. They are perfect to wear in the summer with lighter colors, then pair a sweater with them in the fall and winter. I grabbed these because the price was fantastic and because they are a pair I can wear all year round. With a boyfriend style, I usually go a bit more girly with everything else. This shirt was one of my favorite finds. I thought the cute flouncy ruffle on a tailored shirt would be a great juxtaposition to these jeans. I love this top and this one as well to mix with these boyfriends.

To make this outfit even more “girly,” I found these Jeffrey Campbell embellished kiltie fringe pearl mules. I am obsessed with them because they are so stinkin cute, and they feel like you are wearing house slippers. They come in a gorgeous blue velvet and black suede as well. I may have to get the blue velvet now! I love how the pearls are mixed with the fringe on this mule. I just love fall fashion!!!

I took these photos yesterday in the adorable little town in Highlands. It was pouring as I pulled in, so we waited for the rain to stop. We took a few photos; then it started to rain again, that’s why my hair looks so good in these photos ;)! Did you know that Highlands/Cashiers is one of two rainforests in North America, averaging 80 inches per year? That explains why the vegetation is so beautiful and lush, but taking photos is challenging! We are going shopping today in town if I can rally (suffering from a terrible sinus infection). I look forward to it every summer! Hope you all have a great day! xx
