BRAND SPOTLIGHT // JUDITH & CHARLES
Well, here we are starting a brand new week of more uncertainty. Dallas starts a “shelter in place” tonight at midnight until April 3. I don’t’ know about you, but I am one of those people who like to be in control of what is going on. This is a hard time for me because of that reason. I have a harder time going with the flow. I have peace in that I am not worried about getting Covid-19, but I am concerned about other people in my life. I know I can’t control any of it, but I really want to! Our sermon from church yesterday was on that exact thing. Our pastor said to make a list of what you can and can’t control. My list for can’t is exceptionally long!!! Anyway, my weekend was boring. We took a walk on Saturday because the sun was gloriously shining (for about four hours) after about two weeks of dreary skies. Yesterday was a snooze fest! It was very gloomy again, and we did zero! We are definitely watching a lot of movies.
I took these photos about three weeks ago to introduce you to a brand that I fell in love with. I had the pleasure of meeting with the owners about a month ago when they visited Dallas. So my friends, meet Judith & Charles! Judy and Charles came to Dallas from Canada (where they live) for business. I got to sit down with them for a lovely chat and look at their fabulous line for fall. They are two of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Judy is so warm and kind, and Charles is Parisian, and I could have listened to him talk all day! As wonderful as they are, their brand is too! Their goal of creating beautiful clothes is overriding any uncertainty women feel in choosing or wearing clothing. They aim to give their customer confidence, strength, and comfort in the boardroom, at a first interview, or on the weekend.
As I browsed through the rack of gorgeous clothes, I seriously wanted all of them. The pieces are classic with some twists, but overall things you would keep in your closet for a long time. I love a blazer, and each one I tried on had a great fit. The dresses were so beautiful, and even Meghan Markle thinks so because she wore this one (you may remember her in it). I am so excited about a snake print trenchcoat that will be available soon.
Over the next few weeks, I am going to be showing you some more Judith & Charles pieces because I genuinely love them. How gorgeous are these paper bag pleated pants? I went crazy for them! They are a wool/poly blend with slash pockets and a waist belt. I wanted to give them a more feminine look by adding this fun white eyelet cropped blouse and a snake print sandal, but I would wear these pants with sneakers, flat sandals, or pumps! I also picture the pants with a cute fitted tee.
A few more pieces to call attention to that are some of my other favorites are this beautiful dress, this lightweight plaid jacket, a mixed print tank top, and this stripe jacket. I hope you will get to know this brand because I have a feeling you will be seeing them a lot! I can’t wait to show you the other pieces I have!
What do you all have planned for today? I signed up for an online live fitness program from obé fitness after watching my friend Courtney Kerr ( she’s a boss!) talk about it. If you sign up using her code #KERRENTLYONE you can get a one-month membership for $1! Check out her 10-day fitness program here. Y’all, I have to do something! I will exercise, work some, and tackle my “office/makeup room cleanout today.
Okay, friends, hang in there and let’s be very positive! Sending you all lots of love and big virtual hugs!
