BRING BACK THE SWEATER VEST

Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. Ours was so much fun and jam-packed! We had everyone here together under one roof, and it couldn’t have been more special. My oldest and his family left on Saturday and surprised the grandchildren with a trip to Disneyworld. I wish we could have gone with them, but it was a quick and spontaneous trip. We will go back and do it with them soon. Anyway, this grandmama is pooped! If you have been reading along, you know that I have had a house full of people for about three weeks. It’s been so much fun, but I am exhausted (worth it, though)!

BRING BACK THE SWEATER VEST

Today, I have an idea to bring back the sweater vest! Well, it’s not really my idea, and the sweater vest has been shown some since last year, but I have a thing for them. My daughter was here when I shot this, and she said it reminded her of Chandler Bing from Friends. I have been watching a lot of Friends re-runs at night, and Chandler does seem to always have on a vest. However, that is not why I like them! I wear jeans and a button-down most days, and a sweater vest gives an extra layer making it look like I tried (if the truth be known). I think it gives simple jeans and shirt outfit an extra oomph!

Many of the sweater vests I’ve seen for spring are more cropped (along with everything else…why?). Have no fear; simply wear a shirt or tee under them, and you can play with this fun trend. I tend to like a higher waisted jean if you are going to tuck in the shirt when wearing a vest. The sweater vest I am wearing is from Zara and long gone, but I have no fear…I have plenty to look at below!

I thought it was time to bring out the spring accessories.

You all LOVED this rafia bag last year, and it sold out at the end of summer, but it is back, and I would snap it up NOW! I carried it all through summer last year (when I went to Target, haha!). If you love it, don’t wait because it will sell out. It has a great price point too!

I am playing catch up this week (it might take me more than that!) after having everyone here. My house is a wreck, and I have lots of laundry to do. I am also shooting today. So I have to bust a hump to get ready. I wish I had more exciting things to report, but that’s all I’ve got today!
