Good Morning, sweet friends! You all are the best people ever! Your comments and emails yesterday were so sweet and were so helpful to me, and I appreciate it so much! It is so nice to have a village of people who support you! Today, the Chic at Every Age girls are talking about what to wear on the fourth of July.

Fourth of July Plans

What are you all doing for the fourth? We will be babysitting starting the 3rd for two weeks…YIKES!!! My son and daughter in law are going to Croatia with her family, so we are not going anywhere. There is a parade on the morning of the fourth that we will take the kids to and then we will go to the country club they belong to and hang out for the afternoon and evening. We are usually out of town on the fourth of July, so this will be a little different.

What to Wear on the Fourth of July

We chose these cute tops in red and white and danged it if they aren’t already sold out (we got them last week!)! This one is similar in white. We all showed up in jeans, but any of these tops would be so cute with denim shorts as well.  Speaking of jeans, wearing a looser fit in the summer is the way to go! I think we would all be perfectly comfortable watching fireworks in these outfits.

A Jewelry Designer That I (Really) Love

I wanted to show these stunning earrings from Opalmilk that I am wearing. The design is so fabulous, and I love that I can wear them with so many things. I have to admit that I am very partial to the designer because she is my daughter in law! I honestly have never met anyone more creative. She is such a hard worker too! All of her pieces are handmade, down to the leather tags she attaches them to. She is a painter as well and even has a perfume (it is incredible) that she makes that is available on the website! And, yes, that gorgeous girl on the website is her.

We have zero plans for the weekend. I am, however, going to Nordstrom in the morning to a fashion show to view the pieces that will be in the Anniversary Sale. I’ve already seen a snippet, and it’s plaids, leopard, and jewel tones that stood out. Be sure to mark your calendars for July 12th (for cardholders) when the sale starts. If you don’t have a Nordstrom card, you can start shopping on the 19th. Of course, I will be picking my favorites from the sale as always.
