CUTE AND EASY SUMMER LOOK
Good Morning! I meant to get this post out yesterday, but Tuesday was a crazy day, and I didn’t get it written on time. I wanted to show these cute jeans again with one of my favorite color tops for a cute and easy summer look. This is one of those throw it on and go kind of looks that looks cute and polished for day time. When I show these outfits, it’s not the most important thing of your day, I know, but I hope you can get some outfit inspiration from what I show.
Cute and Easy Summer Top
I’m obsessed with these jeans and have worn them to death already. They look shorter on the website than what they are on me. I am 5’6″ if that gives you an idea. They are so fun and different than your average all white jean. The shirt I have on is from Madewell and comes in several other colors. It is a great, inexpensive, cute and easy summer top. I have also worn these sandals more times than I can count. They are so comfortable! I wanted to mention the sunglasses I am wearing (shocker…they are not my usual round Ray-Bans). These are from a brand called Vye Eyewear. They have the most fashion-forward and cool frames, and I don’t think any of them are over $70! They have a lot of larger frames, but I went with the pair I’m wearing because they were one of the smallest frames. I have such a little face that I look like a fly with larger frames on, but I sure wish I could wear them because they are so fun!
Why I Am Exhausted
I am exhausted from getting up with the puppy but also from worrying. So, I’ve told you all about my daughter having fibromyalgia. She has been to an internist, rheumatologist, kinesiologist, acupuncturist, has had Reiki, been to a healer, and had a medical medium read her all in two weeks. They have all said the same thing. There is no cure and that she will have to manage the pain. Most of these people are in agreement that an Eastern way is the way to go.
Guess What My Daughter is Doing?
Guess what she is doing? My daughter in law told her about some friends of hers that went to a yoga academy in Thailand that teaches you mind, body, and spirit work (and ayurvedic diet). She made a reservation at the academy and booked her flight and left yesterday for five weeks. She is thirty-one and can do her thing, but I am her mom and am wigging out a little bit about my daughter going to Thailand (first through Hong Kong) by herself. She is going to a little town (not going to Bangkok, thank God) where the academy is, but will probably travel to a few other places during the weekends. Would you all be worried? She is on a journey to heal her body and really wanted to do this. It’s brave for sure, but I am a little sick to my stomach.
Sometimes we look like we have it all together in our photos, but I am telling you that we all have shit to deal with or worry about. I know that I shouldn’t worry. I have been on my knees and will continue to pray that God protects her and keeps her safe. He loves her more than I do, and I have to keep reminding myself of that. Can anyone relate to this? No matter what the age of your children, they are always your children, and you never quit being their mom.
I just found out that my girl landed safely in Hong Kong. She has a layover and is having dinner and will spend the night and will head out tomorrow for Thailand. Jesus take the wheel! I hope you all have a great day! Thank you for reading about my anxiety! xx

This is so true. I feel your worry all the way in Montreal. My daughters are 32 and 29. Both married and doing well. But I still worry when they’re not happy or when they’re stressed or when they travel! And I have a grandson who is 1 year old and just starting daycare, which isn’t going well after 2 days in so I worry about him and my daughter(his mom) and how they’re handling it. But I’m trying to tell myself that I’ve raised them to be able to handle life’s challenges and if they need me they know I’m always there.

Good luck to your daughter in Thailand. Hope may be on the horizon for fibromyalgia. Just read a study yesterday out of top notch McGill University in Canada. They have determined that people with fibromyalgia have a different gut biome than those who don’t have it. Trying to determine if that’s a result or cause if fibromyalgia. If you are interested in reading article just google fibromyalgia and gut health.

We are Mothers’ and yes we worry. My son is in the military -Air Force-and l am so concerned he will be in action. But l have learnt not to share this with him but celebrate his successes and beam with pride at his obvious passion and dedication to his calling. I don’t want him to know how terrified l am, because that will burden him, so l practice being completely unselfish and think how incredibly it is he has followed this path. You have raised a smart, inquisitive, determined woman Cathy, have faith in her strength. You have done wonders already. Thinking of you all and sending peace. One step at a time friend.

I remember the moment when I went to my father and said am I ever going to stop worrying about my kids? He gave me a hug and said nope! Hang in there, your daughter I am sure is feeling your love and support.
Thank you for sharing, it is a gentle reminder that you never know what journey someone is on.

Your post resonated with me and my heart goes out to you. As a loving mom, no matter what age your daughter is, you will worry. My daughter is 33, and at age 31, she shared with her father and me her years long struggle with bulimia. She chose to leave her work and home to go into a two month long recovery program. That choice improved her life immensely. It’s a lifelong struggle but she now has the tools and resources to deal.I think our daughters are brave in knowing to take these drastic moves to improve their lives. My best wishes for your daughter and you.

A mom’s worry is like a mom’s love…it never goes away. I can relate as my son’s are 21 and 31. Hang in there and I am in awe of your daughter for her determination and bravery to seek answers outside the box.

Hello Cathy, I understand the worries we’ve all experienced at some point with our children. Just like you did, I believe prayer is the first thing we should do and the best thing we can do to cover our children and give us God’s peace.
Andrew Wommack, who started Charis Bible College wrote the book, “God Wants You Well”…. what the Bible really says about walking in divine health. Jesus took those stripes on His back for our healing, it’s already done. I believe with all my heart your daughter does not have to live with that diagnosis for the rest of her life. All things are possible with God to those who believe. ????

Cathy, worry for your children is so normal, but please don’t be consumed by it the entire time she is away. She is a smart girl and you have taught her well. Trust that she will be cautious and aware of her surroundings and will be able to make sound judgements about anyone she meets. She will be fine and hopefully will come home with good information about the fibromyalgia. And as you know, give it to God and he will take care of everything! Just a note, my dear friend suffered with fibromyalgia and had great results with acupuncture. ( you said daughter has tried it, but maybe give it another go) have fun with your grands. That should keep your mind off worrying about daughter!

I notice that your Gucci belt has a silver buckle. Is it the men’s version?
June 30, 2019 @ 8:25 am
Hi, Lisa! I bought it at the Gucci boutique at Neiman’s and it probably is. All of the belts are just hanging and there is a good chance it is. I got a 80 so that I can wear it high and low. I had to have extra holes punched in it. xx

Have her read “Unlearn Your Pain” by Howard Schubiner MD. She can get rid of this! I did. It is NOT incurable. It isa mind/body disease usually brought on by some past/present trauma. I wish her well. Please, please have her read the book when she returns.
