CHIC AT EVERY AGE // HOUNDSTOOTH JACKET WITH KAREN KANE

Happy Friday, everyone! Are you all hanging in there? I have not addressed the first Christmas card yet and am so far behind on wrapping gifts. I blew everything off the last two days because I have had one of my best friends and her daughter in from out of town. The daughter is getting married in the spring, and they were here to shop for wedding events. I took them around to all of my favorite stores, and we had great success! I would rather be spending time with them than addressing cards, but I still have to address them! Today, the Chic At Every Age girls are back with a black and white houndstooth moto jacket from Karen Kane.

Karen Kane is one of those tried and true brands. They have been around since 1979 and believe in real clothing for women who don’t have time (time…what is that?) to search through trends to find the essentials. The pieces are subtle, luxurious, relaxed, energetic, unpretentious, and comfortable!  Karen Kane makes getting dressed as effortless as possible. The four of us unanimously decided on this houndstooth moto jacket for the style and ease of it. What I like about this moto jacket (even though I have several hanging in my closet), is the longer length and the houndstooth print (great if you are an Alabama fan!). This jacket is different from all of my others and can be worn with pants, dresses, or skirts.

I am wearing my jacket with a super cute patterned blouse (you are going to see this blouse again soon!) from Anthropologie, jeans (duh), and a zebra print belt that I got at Zara. Zara has some fantastic belts at the moment! I know these are not “OMG” outfits on any of us, but you know I am a fan of jackets because they can definitely elevate an outfit. A tee or blouse, jeans, and a jacket of some sort is always the answer in my book!

What are you all doing this weekend? I can’t believe it, but tonight we don’t have anything, yay!!!! I want to put on my comfiest sweats and watch at least three episodes of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”. I cannot get enough of this show. We have a party tomorrow night and I have a girls dinner on Sunday night. We are out again on Monday night! Tis the Season! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
