A CHIC SUIT ENSEMBLE

Hello, ladies! I hope you all are surviving the heat! We are in Aspen for a little R&R, and it is pretty hot during the day here. I don’t feel like I escaped Dallas, except in the morning and at night. It’s so dang beautiful here. Saturday was our first night here, and we had dinner at the Hotel Jerome in the garden. The view and food were amazing. The first morning here, we walked around and passed a coffee shop where Kevin Costner was sitting. Okay, he’s just as handsome IRL, and I heard he is getting divorced (any single ladies out there?). A bartender told us he has been in Aspen a lot this summer, in case you want to book a flight! Anyway, it’s been so nice to have a break because we have just moved my in-laws to Dallas. We were wiped out! Can you imagine how they are feeling?

I know a matching suit looks like a crazy look to show in the summer but wait…it’s terrycloth! I am headed to California at the end of August and thought these would be the perfect pieces to wear over a bathing suit as a coverup or for lunch by the pool. I know many of you might be traveling, and this chic suit ensemble looks nice enough to wear to any event; you want to look pulled together by a pool, lake, or spa. I would also wear this out to a casual lunch or a day of shopping. I love it because it will keep you warm sitting on a beach in the evening or because it’s made of terry cloth, you can dry your sweat off if it is too hot! I think it is a very chic, comfortable look (BLAZER AND PANTS). I paired it with a white tank and my Tkees flip-flops.

Yesterday was my husband’s birthday, so we got massages to kick off the day. We did a little hiking and then had dinner with our oldest son and daughter-in-law. I’m unsure what we are doing today, and that’s been the beauty of this trip. We had no agenda but to take it easy. Our grandkids are here, but they have been busy with their cousins and friends from Dallas who are here. They are at that age where they would rather be, which is okay with us!
