COZY IS THE NEW BLACK
COZY IS THE NEW BLACK
Happy Hump Day! How are you all doing and feeling, knowing that this time next week is Christmas Day? I feel overly swamped right now! As I said previously, Buster and I will spend our first Christmas alone in thirty-six years. I have been a little down in the dumps (sniff sniff), but it may be a great day to chill and relax after a hectic couple of weeks. Speaking of relaxing, I cannot get enough soft and cozy sweaters and tops. Did you know that cozy is the new black? Well, it’s not technically, but it is for me!
I found this fuzzy and silky sweater at Lou & Grey while shopping last week. Lou & Grey has mastered the soft factor in the pieces they carry, and I am all in for them. I could wear this sweater every single day! I bought it in the xs. It also comes in hot pink, cream, and an electric blue and is not cumbersome under a jacket. Most everything in the store is soft and cozy. I bought this super-soft sweatshirt and sweatpants (for lounging by the fire) that are part of a his and her collection and are 40% off. I also bought this top in several colors.
The other sweater I have been wearing at home is this chenille oversized turtleneck. It’s on sale for less than $25 and comes in lots of colors. Are you all wanting to sit around in soft and cozy pieces right now like me? I think I get to the end of the year, and after the hectic holiday season, I am worn out. I hate to admit it, but I’m tired of shopping too. It happens to me every year at this time!
We are having Buster’s golf group and their wives over for dinner tonight. We have known all of them (except two) since our college days. I have to get my house in order and run errands today. The good news is that Buster is the cook, and I don’t even get near the kitchen. My job is to make the house look pretty, do dessert, and clean up after. I think it’s a very fair trade!
I hope you all have a great day and get much accomplished! xx

Happy Holidays Cathy! An empty nest is going to be us very soon. I think I will buy a cocktail book and try them all out one by one….or what we like to do is pick a favorite director and watch all their films and compare.
Thank you for all the wonderful posts. I hope you have a relaxing time and get to binge watch all your favorite shows:)

Those boots are fantastic! I wrote last week on the blog that I don’t like to wear boots over trousers on me, but it sure does look good on you!
